HAVE YOU HEARD?! Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) is finally stocked on Sephora Singapore! The highly anticipated brand, launched by Anastasia Soare, an icon in the beauty industry known for creating nearly perfect brows using the golden ratio method, is finally here! It was truly an honour to meet the maestro herself, the #QueenofBrows, during the launch party at 1880 last week, and I even got my palette signed by her!
ABH was founded in 1997 and was expanded to feature beyond brow makeup such as lip, contour and eye products. My favourite from the brand? The eyeshadow palettes of course! I am a fan of the eye palettes and I bought the Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette, the Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette and also, my favourite, the Norvina Eyeshadow Palette, which is also the one I’ll be reviewing here.
Just 2 weeks ago, the whole world stopped for Rihanna, as @badgalriri launched her very own makeup line dedicated for all skin colors, all undertones, from all countries. With foundation in 40 shades, skinsticks in 30 shades, Fenty Beauty was created and made for every girl in the world.
First things first, disclaimer! Note that this is not a post with sponsored products as I wasn’t provided with any and these two highlighters were solely purchased with my own pocket money. Let’s be honest here. I know that I have been reviewing a lot of products provided by PR companies and the brands themselves but I just want to put it out there that I share my most honest thoughts even if the campaign was paid or products sponsored!
*Back to Fenty Beauty* The two products that caught my attention immediately following the launch were the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife (seriously the world went crazy for this) and the Matchstix Shimmer Skinstick in Confetti. I bought them both with the help of a sweet friend who was at the press launch at Sephora ION.
Just as I thought that the liquid matte lip stain trend is dying down, Sephora manages to revive it with their newly revamped Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick! Get your lips covered with bold colour from AM to PM.
The SEPHORA COLLECTION Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick is a silky, long-lasting lip stain that glides on super smoothly while giving you strong pigmentation and colour. For all you ladies who do not have time, or simply do not want to do any touch-ups, this is the lipstick for you.
I used to explore the SEPHORA COLLECTION lipsticks and eye shadows but honestly, they didn’t interest me and they weren’t exciting enough to warrant a review, until I met these lip stains. Even though it says that it’s a lip stain, I feel that this works like a liquid matte lipstick instead for it gives you power-charged colour intensity in a matte texture.
One of the latest makeup trend brings you perfectly sculpted and highlighted cheekbones. It’s all about detailed contouring besides just adding a flush of colour to your cheeks! And of course, not to forget, strobing! If contouring is too difficult, let’s just focus on strobing, basically, the act of bringing light to the high points on the face. The best palette for your experiment is none other than the BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette!
A collaboration with Jaclyn Hill, an American Professional Makeup Artist and a YouTube personality, this limited edition face palette features five iconic shades for that customised glow you want. The palette comes in a luxurious golden metal case with a white thick sticker plastered on the cover. I really love the simplicity of the design for it embodies the meaning of the palette – champagne glow.
Have you ever wanted to live in a dollhouse with grand stairs leading down to a huge hall? Well, as a girly girl when I was young, it has always been a dream, even to just own a miniature dollhouse! Now that I’ve all grown up, I can have a dollhouse full of makeup with Too Faced x Sephora Le Grand Palais!!!
Isn’t it the prettiest thing for Christmas?!
Too Faced Le Grand Palais is a limited edition holiday palette primarily consisting of eyeshadows and blushers, with a few deluxe-sized products thrown in to complement the powdered products.
