Summer is approaching, how are you planning to spend it? For me, I’m going to take every step as it comes, and see what happens. After all, even if you’re at the lowest point in a ferris wheel, wait it out and you’ll be at the top in no time again. Life’s full of ups and downs, isn’t it?
Anyway, the warming weather heralds the beginning of Summer, and what better way to welcome the season with some nautical goodness? LANEIGE Summer 2016 Collection is here to warm your hearts!

The highlight of the collection in my opinion, has to be the LANEIGE Marine Girl Boy Eyeshadow Palette! Just look at the white, blue and red striped packaging with cute sandals and life buoy! It just spells S-U-M-M-E-R isn’t it! Packaging is what keeps my heart throbbing so… 😛
Teehee, do you see what I see? I think my precious baby, Sake, sees it! He sees the beautiful vibrant shades of the eyeshadow palette! Notice the little anchor? It’s in a gold overspray so pretty I made sure I was careful not to swatch over it hahaha.
If you want to attain a summer makeup look full of vitality, these six colours will sure do the trick. The colours are trendy and vibrant (oh just look at the pop of blue and pink!) and are named after vacation spots. It would be good if there was a crease shade but still, looks can be made with the varying textures like matte, pearl and shimmer.

Here’s my Summer makeup look with all shades being used. I have Rose Salt Recipe as base with Singapore Sling Pink at the outer corners of the eye lids. As Summer Serenity is a very strong blue shade, I’ve used it on the outer part of the lower lash line to give it a pop of colour. Boracay Emerald was used in the inner part of the lower lash line while Hyams Beach on the inner eye corners, for that aegyo sal (teary-eyed) effect. Placed Hanoi Bouquet below the brow bone to finish the look.

Thank you so much for your review and swatches of the palette. I was wondering if I should buy it. I have a question, is the green shimmer really pigment green??? That is my favorite color and I’m looking forward to it. Therefore, I don’t to be disappoint.
Hi Thao, the pigment is turquoise blue/green. It’s not exactly green though!
