We ladies always wish to have the best of all worlds when it comes to a nail salon: friendly and professional staff, great hygiene, a comfortable and relaxing space and of course, value for money. With the influx of nail spas and salons these days, how do we even pick one that fits all the criteria?

Well, thankfully, through GetKlarity, I got to luxuriate in some pampering “me-time” over at Vedure Nails Singapore – a multi award-winning medispa! Tucked in a corner of Wheelock Place, Orchard, the lavish spa is a sanctuary for face, body and nails services.

What greeted me wasn’t just any ordinary nail salon. It was a haven for us fabulous office ladies, some place where we could reside comfortably in after stressful working hours. Donned with lush black couches with amenities like a bar counter, this place definitely promises you utmost comfort.

 

The neat and pristine manicure/pedicure area shows you how much pride the nail spa takes in ensuring great hygiene! You can simply relax and sink into the large black couches, like I did! I knew that I was in great hands 😉

Oh, and can you guess what this area is for? I overlooked it the first time I walked past it. It turned out to be a drying station for customers who wants fast-drying after their manicure/pedicure session! Amazing, right? I was bewildered when I was asked to sit down to dry my nails! Teehee, and the beautiful and exquisite designs on the counter-top kept me company the whole time.

In Vedure, there are over 10 brands of quality nail polishes from all over the world, including the world’s only sun reactive colour changing polish! With a myriad of colours to choose from, you’ll be hard pressed to find a shade you don’t like. What I really like is that they carry uncommon brands with 5-free formula that will not hurt your nails (e.g. JINsoon etc.).

Well, so after settling down and finally finish taking photos of the place, I was served tea and biscuit before my session started. I was going for the Sakura Sake Signature Nail Spa – Vedure’s multi Award-Winning signature treatment that has been the favourite of anyone who has tried it.

The session started with a nice warm feet soak using Sake and Ginger to soothe and hydrate the skin while allowing me to unwind and loosen up, followed by some foot scrubbing to rid of my stubborn dead skin.

What came after that was my favourite – feet massage! Who can resist a feet massage?! I can’t! It’s one of my weaknesses when it comes to a pedicure! Exotic Brown Sugar was used to exfoliate, while Rice Oil is used in the massage to nourish the skin further. With the therapist’s skilled techniques, my legs felt so carefree without any aches after that!

It was time for colour right after all the preen and pamper! I picked a nice dusty blue from JINsoon, a Korean brand. the brainchild of Choi Jin Soon, one of Korea’s most influential nail artists. Her nail polish line is formulated with high-tech polymers and resins that ensure long wear and a shiny finish.

With precise application, layer by layer, there was no need for any clean ups. Every layer was perfectly painted onto my toenails no matter the size of my nails, I was impressed!

Concurrently, my hands were being “treated” too. Can you imagine the level of comfort I was experiencing after a long day at work? I was literally in seventh heaven!

As mentioned above, my hands went through the Sake and Ginger soak before the Brown Sugar scrub, followed by a relaxing massage.

Then it was colour time! I wanted a classy simple design to rest my nails from all the gel manis so royal blue was the main shade I chose.

Tadah! Gorgeously polished nails, ready to rock the world! I just love those rainbow flecks of glitter! They make my nails look shiny and pretty, even from afar! Love the manicurist’s choice of colour 😉

The treatment process aside, what surprised me during the whole time was that I felt like I was being treated like a queen, not because I was there as a blogger. I was delighted to see that the manager of the boutique treated every single customer with utmost courtesy, just like how they treated me! She made sure that I liked my nail colours and enjoyed my nail spa through constantly checking back with me as she did for others as well. I can now see why this coveted nail spa won numerous awards.
