Step out in style this Spring with a pop of colour on your lips! With all the innovative lip products in the market now, it is no surprise that K-Beauty giant, Etude House, has launched a collection of colour water lipsticks that encompasses the beauty of a lipstick, a lip gloss and a lip stain – the Color in Liquid Lips.
Can you see how cute the packaging is? They look like regular lipsticks but the lipstick bullet motif on each one is to indicate the shade they contain. They are, in fact, liquid lipsticks! I love the adorable lips and water droplet prints on the tubes too for they bring out the name of the product really well. How apt! 😉
The collection is available in 20 incredible shades, all specially selected to reflect the effervescence of the season. You will be spoilt for choice from princess pinks to robust reds and even spicy, fruity oranges and everyday nudes. I have been sent 5 to test out, c/o Etude House and Touch PR, thank you! Each product also comes with a Water Drop Tip (water droplet-shaped applicator) to allow easy application of the product.
As a liquid lipstick, Color in Liquid Lips is said to offer a plush and velvety texture that melts effortlessly onto your lips. Having said that it is a lip product that works like a lipstick, lip gloss and lip stain, I find that it actually performs more like a liquid lipstick that stains your lips. It is glossy but I feel that it doesn’t have that shine like how a lip gloss would give. This might be perhaps due to the dryness of my lips as compared to a lot of others’ and I think given fuller, plump lips, this product will show its best.
Each product also comes with “One Touch Color Pigment”, which creates a vibrant colour payoff in one application. It’s true, you can attain your desired lip colour with just a single swipe of this product. Specially formulated with Sweet Almond Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil to ensure your lips remain cushiony and well hydrated, Color in Liquid Lips work to create a moisturising radiance as well. I didn’t feel that it was straight on hydrating but it is definitely not as drying as a lot of other liquid lipsticks. After all, very few lipsticks really work to hydrate the dryness of my lips. As a lip stain, it is pretty long-lasting because it can last through drinking and even eating!
I’m always very excited to try out Etude House’s lip products because they always carry a ton of different shades for your every need, plus they are inexpensive, especially when they go on sale. You can just go grab a ton and not feel guilty at all. Here are some hand and lip swatches for the 5 different shades I’ve tried! Oh and did I mention I love the names too? I always love reading names of makeup products because it gives me a certain connection with the product. Does it do that to you? 😉
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
