I haven’t quite adjusted to 2015 but we’re stepping into the last month for the 1st quarter of the year already!
For the month of February, I was pretty much embarking on a mission to continue rotating my beauty products so that all of my collection gets some love from me. I’m very glad to be discovering new products that I now can’t live without! Here are my February 2015 Beauty Favourites!
Read all the way for a makeup look I created using all of these products! 😉
We’ll get started from the usual, the skincare before running through the makeup? There’s only 1 skincare product that I really love, after incorporating it into my skincare routine.
It’s the CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule. I was invited to the official launch of the korean skincare brand into Singapore to discover more about the brand and its products and was pleasantly surprised to fall in love with this serum! I believe this is a serum that contains 10% propolis extract (a red or brown resinous substance collected by honeybees from tree buds, used by them to fill crevices and to fix and varnish honeycombs) that has excellent moisture enriching properties. It has a lightly honey scent to it and this product really does hydrate the skin the instant you apply it on your skin. It gets absorbed very fast too without leaving any sticky residue, I believe you’ll be able to find this product at selected Guardian/Watsons stores in Singapore.
With the weather getting warmer in Singapore, a face powder with suncare properties is a must-have. The Belif Almighty Sun Powder with SPF50+ PA+++ is my staple for this month! It’s a translucent powder that kind of reminds me of my childhood powdered lemon candy because it smells exactly like it! I usually use my powder brush to just swirl into the powder and press on my skin as the last step of my makeup routine. It helps to blur out the pores a little as well to make your skin look matte and flawless. It comes in a sturdy packaging where you twist the cap instead of a typical compact case.
Every girl needs a blush palette, admit it. Be it makeup junkies (like me) or a typical lady who just needs her makeup to be convenient and compact, a palette that contains a blusher, contour shade and highlighter is the best bet. I have been enjoying the Tarte Cosmetics Tres Chic Park Ave. Princess Contour Palette a lot, because it has one of my favourite matte bronzers, the signature Park Ave. Princess and well, an everyday blush and highlight shade! Well, what else can I say? The shades are universally flattering for most Asian skin tones and I just love using this every day! The only downside is that you’ll get fingerprints all over the case because it’s metallic gold.
I know some of you on Instagram have been asking me how do I do a makeup look with this Dior 5 Couleurs Pied-de-Poule Eyeshadow Palette because of the strong smokey colours that presents itself as intimidating to most ladies. Well, I really did enjoy this palette a whole lot for it to make it into my monthly favourites. Even though the pigmentation of this is rather poor, I’m glad because it’s easier to blend that way, and for a more intense smokey eye, simply pat on more product!
I think if you have been following me on Instagram, you should know by now how much I love my Clio Kill Black/Brown Waterproof Eyeliners! The eyeliners have recently won the HerWorld 2015 Beauty Awards as well so if you haven’t gotten your hands on any of these, it’s time to do so! You know how most coloured liquid eyeliners aren’t as pigmented? If you are looking for a quality brown liquid eyeliner, look no further. These Kill Brown ones are definitely made for the kill. Full review and swatches of these babies can be found in my earlier post here.
And not to forget the lips, the Vecua Honey Honey Luster Lipglosses are your best buds if you are battling dry and chapped lips like me! They come in cute hexagon tubes with embossed honeycomb structures on the outside to depict the honey being used in all Vecua Honey products. It’s more of a lip serum-in-gloss kind of product but it doesn’t get sticky like most lipglosses do. Besides, it’s moisturising properties are beyond what you can imagine! You just have to try it to believe it. You can find them here for SGD48 a piece. Rather expensive but you can enjoy a 20% off the month of March with code “VHCNY20”!
To show you how all these makeup products look like on my skin, I’ve done a makeup look using everything in here, except the yellow Honey Luster (Honey) because I only have a pair of lips. For my eyes, I’ve skipped the black in the middle because I rarely use it unless I set my eyeliner with that. Also notice how my lips look more plumped up? 😉
I can’t wait to experiment with more products already and be sure to catch my March 2015 Beauty Favourites next month!
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.

The VH looks like the ysl Tint in oil :O still haven't tried either but the VH looks very subtle for everyday use 😀
I haven't tried the YSL Tint in Oil yet but I think they look like they have the same concept! Yeah it does, it's great for every day! If you want some colour, just layer it over your lipstick! Works the same 😉
wowww… brown liner looks so beautiful on your eyes 🙂
