Well, today I am proud to show you some empties from my beauty stash! It has been sooooo long since I finished using any products, especially skincare products! Here I have 5 products that I finished using in the month of September.
As my skin has been rather dry underneath, I have been using lots of hydrating products and of course, some topical acne product to cure my breakouts and my all-time favourite makeup primer/base to isolate my skincare and makeup in my everyday routine.
As mentioned, my dry skin problem has been plaguing me for the longest time and this has caused my skin to produce large amounts of sebum, making me break out like crazy! Ever since I started my internship, I started using the shu uemura Depsea Hydrability range of products, the Moisturising Lotion (toner) and the Intense Moisturising Concentrate. Both products work really well, especially in providing more moisture for my skin and the products are very lightweight, which didn’t feel heavy on the skin.
To cure my acne spots, I have been exploring and discovering different products. Chanced upon the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ and got given deluxe samples for it to test out on my skin. This product is quite scary when you first use it because it’ll cause break outs before the skin gets accustomed to the product and react to healing the acne spots. I have 2 of these mini samples and I must say they work really well on huge acne as they always get minimised by the next morning when I apply it the night before. I didn’t commit to purchasing the full-sized though because I didn’t really like the smell of it. It smells rather clinical and smelly in my opinion.
However, I gotta say that my favourite La Roche-Posay product has got to be the Thermal Spring Water! This baby has always stayed in my makeup bag because I love the refreshing feel it gives when I spray this all over my face as a makeup-setting spray. I know it’s just water but I like to spray it all over my skin after makeup to moisturise my skin. Additionally, I found that this has extra soothing properties as it significantly calmed my irritated skin after an allergic reaction with a sunscreen. Thumbs up! I have lots of spares for this thanks to my lovely friend, Jingying, so it’s not yet time for me to replenish this, yet! 😉
To prime my skin for makeup after my skincare routine, I always use the shu uemura POREraser UV Under Base in Beige! Love that it has SPF 35 PA+++ so that I don’t have to apply sunscreen on my face! It’s amazingly lightweight and controls oil really well. However, a word of caution for people with dry skin conditions, this do dry out your skin because of its oil-control properties so stay away or hydrate more before you use this! I usually stay away if I feel that my skin is very dry. Oh by the way, this is just the OB for shu uemura Limited Edition packaging from 2013.
That’s pretty much it for my empties! Time to throw them into the bin after photographing them! 😛 Hehe I am always so excited to dig out empties because it’s so rare that I get to finish any product.
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
