Packed in a turquoise-blue glass jar, the extra dense gel moisturiser is an innovative reverse water-in-oil composition. One dab of the intensely hydrating Aquasource Everplump releases the ultra hydrating agents from thousands of micro-moisture drops, rapidly sinks into the skin to plump and smooth. It leaves your skin feeling silkily primed and prepped for makeup!
A super belated review of this gem but I’m glad I finally found the time and energy to talk about this. It’s been delayed for 2 months but well, it’s a permanent product that joined the Aquasource range so,you’ll still be able to get it anytime.
Anyway, one of the main reasons why I truly enjoy this moisturiser is because it feels like a sleeping mask. Intensely hydrating with its extra dense texture, yet absorbs rapidly into the skin, it’s unlike other moisturisers out there. Formulated with responsibly-sourced Blue Hyaluron™, the product boosts the synthesis of the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid. We all know that hyaluronic acid is a moisture agent that is capable of holding multiple times its weight in water, up to x1000 as much, thus this effectively helps to retain the skin’s hydration levels.
I’m not going into the details of the science behind the formulation but I’m still going to touch-and-go to give you a brief idea. The highly specific formulation process involves encapsulating of actives in watery phase, before a water-in-oil slow incorporation. Following which is the formation of homogenous super charged drops that breaks on contact with the skin (this is when you apply it on your skin). More details here.
Unlike its other Aquasource counterparts, the Everplump delivers its hydration efficacy with no stickiness at all. It leaves the skin feeling velvety smooth. Additionally, the powerful moisture-retaining substance, Glycerin, is concentrated at 15% which is twice the level of the other Aquasource moisturisers, thus provides a 72-hour lasting hydration after application, much like how a sleeping mask works.
Oh and did I mention how it smells like? If you’ve been acquainted with the Biotherm Aquasource range, you’ll be familiar with the scent of this baby. It smells exactly the same, that scent of freshness from the sea~ A tad too strong for me but least it doesn’t irritate my skin.
