Lucky me, I’ve been trying some of the bestsellers from the Revlon Colorstay™ and Ultra HD range and they work amazing! Love is on!

To start off, I have the Revlon Colorstay Compact Makeup & Concealer in Medium Beige. It’s essentially a foundation and concealer in one compact, how convenient! There are altogether 12 expertly-matched shades of foundation and concealer. It gives a demi-matte finish and is definitely buildable to full coverage.

Said to be sweat resistant and lasts all day, the foundation and concealer duo gives you long-lasting flawless makeup that’s perfect for date night. You know youo won’t want to keep checking back on your face during a nice long dinner.

What’s even more convenient about this product is that there is a mirror and sponge applicator included for precise application and touch-ups on the go! Seriously, you only need to bring one product with you to finish up your base makeup. It’s just that easy. I don’t find that it is cakey or too thick. It’s the kind of makeup you put on and have no worries for the rest of the day. However, I have to comment that the concealer was kind of dry upon applying under the eyes so perhaps you might want to use an even more liquid formula for a smoother application.

I was given Medium Beige and I find that it is a shade darker for my skin tone even though the concealer works perfectly for me. The concealer in every compact is one shade lighter than the foundation itself so as to ensure that you are able to brighten up and conceal the areas you want to hide.

If you’re the liquid foundation kind of girl like me, then you’ll love this one so much more. The Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin is going to be your new drugstore makeup love! For this formula, it gives a flawless, matte finish and claims to do so for up to 24 hours! There are 20 shades in total to cater to almost all kinds of skin tones!

It is buildable to full coverage as well and I find it best used with a flat top kabuki brush or a blending sponge like the Beauty Blender. It also contains salicylic acid to balance skin over time, is oil-free with SPF 15. You probably need to apply a dose of sunscreen prior to this foundation so as to thoroughly protect your skin from the sun.

If you were a fan of the old Revlon foundies, you’d know the troubles and woes of having to accidentally pour out excess liquid with its old packaging. Now improved with dispensing pumps, you no longer have to worry about wasting your foundation! Yay to that! 🙂

The shade I am using for my medium skin tone is 200 Nude. I find that it blends into my skin perfectly without being too dark or too light.

Of course to finish off a classic makeup look, you always need a good ‘ol red lipstick! The Revlon HD Ultra Lipstick in 840 Poinsettia best gives you that sexy pout! All the HD Ultra Lipsticks have got a unique wax-free gel formula that delivers high definition colour with a lightweight feel. Tried and testd, indeed you don’t feel like you are putting on lipstick at all.

You’ll get a vivid color just in one smooth swipe and there are altogether 20 high-definition shades. Poinsettia is a nice pinky red shade, leaning towards a sweet raspberry hue. It isn’t as intimidating as a classic red, yet not too soft like a sweet nude pink. Even though the formula is amazing, I must say that the packaging feels cheap. But then again, what more can you get out of a drugstore lipstick?
