Ever since I’ve embarked on this regime, I’ve never felt more confident in the morning than before. The ANR series of products effectively works to combat fatigue skin and helps to strengthen the skin’s resilience to damage.

For about 10 months now, I’ve been tuning in to the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum (a.k.a Synchronized Recovery Complex II). Like all the products in the ANR range, the serum is housed in a brown bottle with a gold-accented dropper.

With an exclusive ChronoluxCB™ Technology, the serum helps maximise the power of skin’s natural nighttime renewal. It fights dryness and dehydration as well and I find that my skin feels hydrated even after a night in an air-conditioned environment.

The serum’s texture is gel-like but leaning more towards the watery side, and is not heavy on the skin. In fact, it absorbs rather quickly into the skin. After diligent usage of the serum, I find that my skin is much more radiant the morning after, and it feels more supple and looks more healthy. I can’t say that it magically transforms my skin, but you just can tell the difference your skin looks.

I’ve been relying on the serum on its own for quite some time now until the brand decided it should revolutionise night repair once again with the NEW Advanced Night Repair Intensive Recovery Ampoules! My oh my, this is really what I call intensive night repair.

What are ampoules? Basically, they are super concentrated solutions to effectively target certain skin concerns. The ANR ampoules are housed in the classic brown bottle with the brand’s gold cap. Aren’t these little ampoules cute? The concentrate is inside the little rubber “pills” and can be released for application when you twist open the tinier side. The texture of the formula is like that of an oil. It is oily at first when you apply, but it will quickly settle without feeling too oily. Even though you might find that there is a residual greasy feeling on the skin, it didn’t bother me as much as I thought I would be. After a couple of minutes, you’ll feel that much of the product is probably absorbed into the skin.

As you can see, the oil texture made it hard to capture before it ran everywhere. Be mindful when you twist open the ampoule though as you might accidentally burst it with the formula running everywhere on the hands. Trust me, I’ve had two encounters now, haha! Having said that, I do like that the actual product is stored in a enclosed rubber capsule because it gives you the feeling that it’s fresh and uncontaminated. Also, it also means that the active ingredients inside do not get altered by the environment before you even apply on the skin.

Overall, I am loving the combination of the ANR serum and ampoules. I find that after returning from my travels, I can use the ampoules every day for a full 1.5-2 weeks to recondition my skin and restore its glow and health. I highly recommend trying them out if you haven’t!
