A delectable Christmas wonderland with Etude House Snowy Dessert Holiday Collection: Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

Etude House Snowy Dessert
The most delectable makeup collection is here to greet you this festive season. Think Gingerbread cookies, candy canes, sorbets and puddings! The Etude House Snowy Dessert Holiday 2015 Collection is here to warm your hearts this Christmas.
Enter a sugary sweet Christmas wonderland with a line-up of beauty indulgences that will doll up your vanity table. Perfect as gifts to your best girlfriends and yourself, the Snowy Dessert collection will delight all senses with its yummy, whimsical packaging, delicate colours and delicious scents that will remind you of your favourite sweet treats.

How about starting with filling your room with an indulgent Tiramisu scent? The Snowy Dessert Scented Wax Tablet (S$16.90) that comes in 2 scents – Tiramisu (shown here) and Red Velvet) – will keep your room/car smelling lusciously fragrant for 3-4 months. Bear in mind to not keep it in the car under super sunny conditions as it will melt!
One of the highlights of this collection has got to be the Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher (S$24.90), a two-toned blusher for healthy glowy cheeks, and the Snowy Dessert Cookie Contour Maker (S$23.90) for perfectly sculpted cheekbones! See the packaging they come in? They’re packed in oven boxes! How cute is that?
They even have got oven trays printed in the inside of the packaging! So much thought given to every detail of the product! They look like happy Gingys (from Shrek the Movie), don’t you think? Anyway, I didn’t swatch it because I couldn’t bear to even touch it, so maybe head down to the store and do some swatching if you wish? The shades are quite universal and rather pigmented.
On to my favourite products, the Snowy Dessert Play 101 Pencils (S$12)! I’ve previously reviewed some of the new releases and this time for Christmas, 5 new shades with the limited edition candy cane packaging are being released! These shades come in various finishes (shimmer, glitter or creamy) for easy and fun makeup looks! Scroll down for swatches and a makeup look using just these 5 pencils!
The 5 shades include:
  • #71 – pink base with gold sheen and micro glitters (shimmer)
  • #72 – coffee brown base with gold micro glitters (shimmer)
  • #73 – metallic champagne base with gold micro glitters (glitter)
  • #74 – semi-glossy rose red (creamy)
  • #75 – chocolate brown base with gold micro glitter (glitter)
As with most of the other Play 101 pencils, these are creamy, pigmented and waterproof as well. However, note to not use on the water line as the glitters might get into your eyes and they seriously sting! To be safe, just use it on the lids and lash line.
With the 5 pencils, I’ve actually came up with a festive makeup look suuitable for those year end parties! Just follow step-by-step if you want to recreate the look I did. Do remember to blend the eye colours before they dry else you’d have stark lines that will not budge! It’s very waterproof.
Shade #74 is a cheek/lip colour hence I’ve applied it on my lips instead.
Here’s the final look!
Notice the burgundy on my outer eye corners? I realised that shade #75 does contain some red/maroon pigments, hence it blends out this way. It’s pretty cool isn’t it 😉
Moving on to the most delectable products in the collection, the Snowy Dessert Pudding Tints (S$13.90)! They are essentially lip tints that’ll melt softly onto your lips, staining your lips. The Pudding Tint features a bouncy and moist texture with a vivacious, long-lasting colour. Not to mention it comes in a mini cute cake box too!
I forgot to capture the little spatula provided but you can use it to scoop an appropriate amount of Pudding Tint and apply onto lips in a circular motion. As it can be very messy, you may want to use a lip brush to perfect the lip lines.
There are 5 shades available:
  • #01 Soft Strawberry Pudding – deep strawberry pink
  • #02 Bouncy Apricot Pudding – sweet vivid orange
  • #03 Sweet Grapefruit Pudding – soft sweet baby pink
  • #04 Sticky Rich Pudding (Lychee) – light glossy pink tint
  • #05 Soft Apple Pudding – bright apple red
Overall, I find that the tints are very long-lasting. They really stain your lips and will only fade off after the entire day or if you use a lip makeup remover to remove. I guess that’s what a lip stain is about yes? 😉 If you are into super staying power for lip colours, this is good for you. Oh, they do smell like their names too! Fruity and sweet.
To end off, a more generic gift would be the Loving Days Holiday Special Hand Cream Gift Set (S$29.90). Not too sure if you remember the body care products, but here are some lovely scents packed in hand creams to protect the hands of your loved ones! These moisturising hand creams are scented with natural and subtle hints of fruits, flowers and citrus.
The 3-piece set includes:
  • Loving Days Blooming Love Hand Cream – romantic notes of peony, roses and berries
  • Loving Days Sweet Sparkling Hand Cream – refreshing citrus flashes and scents of jasmine flowers
  • Loving Days Cool Sugar Hand Cream – breezy blend of watery fruits, violets and lilies

So how do you like the Christmas 2015 Collection from Etude House this year? Ready to strike off the wishlist already? There are really much more in-stores so you have to head down and check them all out! There’s bound to be something for every girl, and guy (seen some male sets too)!
The Snowy Dessert collection is available at all Etude House outlets in Singapore from 1 November 2015 onwards.
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
