Illamasqua has been one of the less-talked-about makeup brands, especially since it has withdrawn from the Singapore market. It’s a pity because this brand stocks one of the most pigmented lipsticks and eyeshadows! Well, all hope is not lost because Illamasqua is stocked at Look Fantastic Singapore, an online beauty boutique that brings you closer to discovering more quality beauty brands.
Before we indulge in all the holiday goodness, let’s zoom in into one of the most exciting makeup launch from the brand – IllamasquaTheReign of Rock Collection. In collaboration with Wonderland magazine, Amelia Windsor, a British model, takes centre stage as the face of the campaign.
The collection celebrates a 10-year reign of convention-defying beauty and the advocation of self-expression through its innovative textures in the line-up with rock and roll inspired artistry led by Director of Artistry, Pablo Rodriguez.
Fast-fashion giant, H&M, has been securing its foothold in Singapore for a year now with its retail outlets planted in every major mall in the country. I’m hopeless when it comes to retail therapy, especially at H&M. Guilty as charged! I was beyond thrilled when the Swedish fashion house lined its flagship store in Orchard (Somerset to be exact) with its full range of makeup and beauty products! Makeup junkies can now rejoice as there is a brand new avenue to satiate your addiction! And the catch: nothing is priced over SGD20. (Oh, thank you H&M for not making me break the bank.)
Singapore is the first country in South-east Asia to welcome the H&M Beauty Department. Expect over 700 individual products comprising items such as makeup, hair products, moisturisers, nail polishes and beauty tools! As a makeup fanatic/junkie, of course I couldn’t miss swatching and hauling at the beauty section, and here’s my very humble haul, comprising of products right up my alley.
Summer’s the time of the year where you’ll go crazy and funky with your makeup! Rock that bright coral lipstick you’ve always wanted to wear but don’t dare! It’s the time to sport whacky fun shades you’ve never tried. For all you lion city dwellers, be delighted as a new makeup brand is hitting our drugstores – Palladio Beauty!
Uniquely Palladio, its products are made with herbs and vitamins, among which, contain antioxidants such as Ginseng, Green Tea, Gingko Biloba, Vitamin E, natural humectants and skin soothers such as Aloe Vera and Chamomile. Sounds unbelievable already?
Specifically for the introduction of Palladio into Singapore, I’m going to focus on two range of lip products, mainly the Herbal Lip Gloss and Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color.
Palladio Herbal Lip Gloss feature oil-based formulas rich in Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to help soften and moisturise lips. I guess the word “herbal” comes from the fact that it contains herbs such as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract and Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract.
PSST! FREE LIPSTICK EXCHANGE, DETAILS AT THE END! 🙂
For many years and counting, Singapore’s Changi Airport has been our nation’s pride and prized baby, with a world-class dining and shopping experience. With The Shilla Duty Free taking over the cosmetics and perfume’s retail activities since October 2014, beauty shopping during travel has now been brought to a whole new level! We’ve seen the entry of even more brands, especially contemporary Korean brands like Etude House, Innisfree, Holika Holika, The Saem and many more.
If you are travelling via Changi Airport’s Terminal 3, you’ll notice The Shilla Beauty Loft at the mezzanine level, featuring beauty and spa services from luxury brands Chanel, Dior, La Prairie, and SK-II. The Shilla Beauty Loft was launched when The Shilla Duty Free celebrated its first anniversary in October last year!
If you’re someone like me who loves to head to the airport early before departure just to spend some time shopping at the beauty counters, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can be pampered just before you jet away! The Shilla Beauty Loft can be accessed via the flight of stairs right in the middle of the retail section.
Do you remember your first makeup/cosmetics brand you’ve encountered? I first fell in love with makeup through NYX Professional Make Up I managed to purchase at some random occasional cart shops in town managed by Watsons then.
If you aren’t familiar, NYX Cosmetics, named after the Greek goddess who ruled the night and symbolised beauty and power, is known for high-quality, professional makeup at super accessible prices. Think S$12 for a lipstick and say S$17 for an eyeshadow palette. So anyway, NYX Cosmetics, now owned by the L’Oreal Group, is finally having a permanent place in Singapore, right in the biggest beauty store we have – Sephora!
A launch party was held in Sephora ION last week celebrating the introduction of the beauty brand and here’s a quick rundown of what the brand has in store for you.
