Dressing stylishly for Winter & Style Challenge in Seoul: Fashion

Dressing stylishly for Winter & Style Challenge in Seoul

It’s always a dilemma when it comes to the question of, “What do I wear today?” This is especially so when you’re travelling, isn’t it? I often find myself not being able to pack light. I always want to bring the entire season’s fashion trend with me so that I can have choices. The fact is that you only have got 23-30kg to fly with even after your crazy shopping so no over-packing!

My recent Seoul trip taught me never to try bringing my entire wardrobe again because ultimately, I was re-wearing some of my comfy sweater pieces over my thermal wear. I ended up with a couple of clothes unworn so, here are some tips and OOTDs (Outfit Of The Day) from my Seoul searching trip earlier this month, just to give you an idea of what to dress for the winter season. I’ll be ending the post with a Style Challenge video too!

Seoul searching in fabulous South Korea

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!~

I just came back from Seoul, Korea, recently and I’m still wishing I was back in the cold, with occasional snow while walking down the shopping streets of Garosu-gil, Hongdae and Myeongdong.

Travelling to Seoul, South Korea

It’s 25 years into my life and it was my virgin visit to the popular travel destination, South Korea, to attend a K-Beauty conference – Made in Korea (MIK) 2017 – courtesy of MyFatPocket. It was my first time travelling with MFP’s Editor, Xinyi (@xinyicyndisoh) too. This short trip was a rather fruitful one as I got acquainted with many K-Beauty brands that are looking to expand to our tiny little red dot, ate many local dishes and bought even more makeup!

Before all the beauty reviews continue to populate Paradeoflove, I just want to pen down some of the interesting things I encountered in this metropolitan city, including beauty recommendations, food I’ve tried and some of the Instagram-worthy spots for your OOTDs in your next trip.

Travelling in Summer… Or Maybe Not?

Travelling in Summer

Summer Vacation… Not?

Summer vacation is a time when memories are made. It’s the most exhilarating season, as destinations gleam in the sunlight, inviting you to leave a footprint. It’s no doubt that the sun is great, but living in Singapore where we get the scorching sun all year round, I’m thinking twice about going on a summer holiday to be exposed to more sun and heat. I know we’re transiting into Fall now but well, the wanderlust in me is acting up, so I just wanted to share my thoughts about Summer Travels.

How about Autumn/Winter?

Honestly, I’d rather travel to cooler destinations such as Australia because this continent’s summertime is not in sync with the others. Where it’s summer mostly in the States, or the European cities, it’s usually Autumn/Winter in the months of May to August, which means cold weather! I mean, why spend a bomb to experience summer when you get it all year round?

Just my two cents…

It’s been long since I last talked about the thoughts that are going around in my head. Lately, I’ve been feeling really uninspired and disappointed with life. I haven’t been feeling so emotional since my last heartbreak but somehow, matters in the family and the unpleasant blogging/influencers (whatever you want to call it) scene have been injecting real negative thoughts into me. I mean, we’re all human; we are all entitled to feel what we want to, right?

You know, they say “Every family has its own struggles”. It’s true, no matter big or small. Going through what I am going through, I must say that it’s really, really tough having to handle so much. Well, I know God will never give us challenges that we can’t handle, but sometimes, I feel that I need a break from all this craziness. I need an undisturbed week, or even month to myself in order to recharge and face the problems again. When you keep having lemons thrown to you while you’re trying to figure things out, it can get quite tiring.

Your perfect selfie with Casio Exilim EX-TR80: Review

Casio Exilim EX-TR80

I’ve never owned a selfie camera. Being an owner of a DSLR, I never found the need to have one because, why do you need one when you have a somewhat professional camera? Well, for years, I’ve only been using my DSLR or my iPhones for my product and makeup-of-the-day shots. Even though these gadgets do deliver, I can never obtain quality photos in the night with low light conditions.

With the opportunity to play with the Casio EXILIM EX-TR80 Selfie Camera, I was mind blown at how my photos turned out, especially how I still looked good even after a long day at work when my makeup has already melted (and probably disintegrated haha).

First Look

The Casio Exilim EX-TR80 joins its predecessors, TR60 and TR70, in taking your selfies to whole new level. With 3 colours, white, pink and black, you can choose one that resonates with you. I absolutely love how this camera is designed. Sure, it has a silver rim of glitters/sparkles around the camera lens but being pretty is definitely not the only thing this compact digital camera offers.
