Applying sunscreen is a vital step to our skincare routine, especially in Singapore’s hot tropical climate. There are tons of sunscreens out in the market, which make us spoilt for choice. Being Asian, should we select Western brands or continue to trust Asian brands? What about cost vs. effectiveness? Does it mean expensive sunscreens perform the best?

C/o Datumou Recipe, an online site dedicated to testing Japanese cosmetics and beauty services, I got to try out 3 popular Japanese sunscreens from their curated list of top 12.

Luxurious lips with Tom Ford Lip Lacquer Luxe Matte/Vinyl: Review

Tom Ford Lip Lacquer Luxe Matte/Vinyl

If there is only one beauty brand I can use for the rest of my life, it would be Tom Ford Beauty. I first fell in love with the brand for its lipsticks. One of the first few luxury lipsticks I bought was the Tom Ford Lip Color Shine in Willful. I didn’t know much about TF’s lipsticks, but I really wanted to own one because of the luxe packaging. Then I remember being disappointed at how the lipstick didn’t have the iconic “TF” engraving, haha! Fast forward many years now, I’m finding myself falling deeper in love with the brand.

Bloom with TOM FORD Eye Color Quad – African Violet: Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

TOM FORD Eye Color Quad African Violet

TOM FORD eye quads have been one of my most prized possessions in my makeup collection. I don’t have many – just two – because it’s not easy to captivate my heart especially since I work with so many colours and textures daily. I’ve had <Cocoa Mirage> for a couple of years now and was thinking of adding another quad to my TOM FORD beauty collection but wasn’t very compelled until I met <African Violet>.

<African Violet> consists of four opulent complementing shades for anyone to achieve multiple looks, from a bold, smokey eye, to a sexy slash of colour. The reason why I couldn’t shake this palette off my mind was because of the gorgeous orchid purple shade that stood out! I knew I had to get it after weeks of contemplating.
