Bigger, Blacker, and Bolder with Clio Kill Black Liners: Review & Swatches

Clio Kill Black Liners
If you have been a reader of www.paradeoflove.com, or a follower of @paradeoflove, by now, you probably know the categories of makeup I have tons of (eyeshadows because you can never go wrong with a myriad of colours and textures to play with) and those that I stick close to certain brands (eyeliners and mascaras for obvious reasons). If you are new to ParadeOfLove, for mascaras and eyeliners, I have my holy grail products that I constantly go back to, namely YSL and Shu Uemura for mascaras and for eyeliner, just the Maybelline Lasting Pen Gel Liner. I just love them for they work wonders for me.
Being a loyalist to my gel liner, I never understood the need for liquid eyeliners. I know that liquid eyeliners are probably the easiest to start with but for some reason, I disliked them because I can never get them to stay on my lids for a whole day out. With Clio’s latest release, the Kill Black Eyeliners changed my perspective of liquid eyeliners. It’s a big statement to say and you’re probably thinking, “Yeah, she’s saying that because she got sponsored those eyeliners”, but hold that thought till you’ve gone through the entire review, alright?

Just like every girl needs her little black dress, without a doubt, she needs her little black liner too. (Let’s establish the fact that eyeliner makes a whole lot of difference to the eyes, shall we?) So what makes the Clio Kill Black Eyeliners appeal to me?

Reduce Redness with Exuviance Anti Redness Calming Serum: Review

Exuviance Anti Redness Calming Serum
Have inflamed skin? Or redness from irritation/acne? Sadly, that describes my skin on most days. I wasn’t born with the luxury of having good, flawless skin. In fact, I suffered from major acne woes during my secondary school days. Thankfully, with proper skincare steps and with age, they have subsided though I still get to see a cluster of them once almost every month during days when my period approaches, and it’s still annoying.
Also, recently, I encountered an allergic reaction while using a skincare product which turned the skin beside my nose areas red and itchy. I thought, what better way to test out the Exuviance Anti Redness Calming Serum than the combination of acne/allergy? It was definitely a risky choice to make but I wanted to go ahead to see if it lives up to its name!
The serum comes in a dark, forest green bottle, which I definitely didn’t expect because most skincare products come in lightly-coloured packaging to portray that “gentle and fresh” image. Besides, over the years of my encounter with skincare products, I have taken a strong liking to products that come with pumps, evidently, due to hygiene and ease of dispense. Hence, seeing that the serum has a pump head, I was quite delighted. No more messy pouring out of products on the hand!

Home-Based Nail Services @ Fling Nails: Review

Home-Based Nail Services @ Fling Nails
Fling it and flaunt it with Fling Nails!~ A new set of nails for a brand new month! I’m really hoping this set will last me for a month or so, such that I don’t have to do my nails again for the upcoming Lunar New Year. I’m really loving this set because mint green and purple are my favourite colours and I wanted something that’ll suit my white x florals get up for the new year.
My first time doing a manicure in the comfort of a home setting and I love it! You know how a complete manicure session takes up hours, especially when you’re doing a complete gel manicure with loads of designs? I always feel very sleepy after a while but because of the presence of other customers, I try to stay as awake as I can to still look glam. With a home-based nail parlour like Huiwen’s Fling Nails, I can now fall asleep at ease (even in an unglam manner)!

LANEIGE Clear-C Advanced Effector: Review

LANEIGE Clear-C Advanced Effector
This year, Laneige has its focus on Sparkling Beauty – to bring out your inner sparkle and shine. To achieve that, you’d need products rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants, one of which is the Laneige Clear-C Advanced Effector.
The  Laneige Clear-C Advanced Effector is essentially a toner/essence housed in a baby pink frosted bottle. Like most toners, the texture of this is leaning towards the liquid and watery side with a nice fruity/floral fragrance that keeps you at ease.
I got the chance to try out the essence and it has since been a prime spot in my skincare regime for about 3 weeks now. Formulated with 92.5% Superberry extract – Acerola and Acai Berry extracts – the essence prevents the formulation of pigmentation (e.g. freckles) and helps delay premature signs of aging, giving you a clear and translucent complexion.

Get Started with Makeup! (Makeup for Beginners)

Makeup for Beginners
As a beauty blogger, I must say that I didn’t start playing with makeup at a very young age. In fact, my venture into these cosmetic products started when I was around 20-21 years old. When I first started, like any other beginners, I wasn’t very good at it, especially perfecting that flawless winged eyeliner.
After getting the perfect wing, I went into the playful world of eyeshadows. Perhaps it’s because I have that artistic flair, I was pretty good at eyeshadow application for a beginner. I began to get a lot of requests for eyeshadow tutorials and hence, I decided to include a pictorial for a neutral everyday eye makeup at the end of this post!
Well, let’s look into the makeup products you need (in my opinion) if you are just starting out dolling yourself up!
