Your hairstyle can make or break your overall look, don’t you agree?
Occasionally, I like to switch up my hair style to refresh my look. Thanks to the invitation from The Comb Singapore, I got to change my hair colour and treat my dry/unruly tresses.
About The Comb
The Comb came about when Creative Director Rina Kil and her partners decided to start a hair salon with a “straight-to-the-point” problem-solving concept. The name was inspired by Rina’s family heirloom – a Mother-of-pearl comb by a late relative who brought her through childhood in Seoul and told her to “Galida (Comb) your hair and show the world what you’ve got.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVELIES! It’s 2019, have you made your new year resolutions? Well, I’m not a believer of having concrete resolutions penned down because often, those are probably things you’ll try to achieve only in the first month of the year. For me, it’s about life-long resolutions. I strive to be kinder, to broaden my vision, to watch out for new opportunities that’ll come knocking on my door and of course, to love myself more!
Loving myself means taking good care of my own well-being and that includes pampering my tresses! Before 2018 ended, I took time to indulge in a Tokio Inkarami Hair Treatment at the MOST Instagrammable hair salon in Singapore – Chez Vous: HideAway.
You know how sometimes you need to pay a price for wanting to be beautiful? I love having gel manicure, much more than the regular manicure with nail varnishes because they last so much longer on the nails. However, the regular gel nail polish can be quite damaging to the nails, especially so with harmful chemicals.
Well, if you’re as vain as I am but care about the health of your nails too, you’ll be glad to know that you can now enjoy beautiful and healthy nails with Nail Parfait Gel at The Nail Symphony!
Ever since I embarked on the LA VIDA Eyebrow Embroidery service, I am beyond thrilled how much time I can save in the morning getting ready for work! For me, prior to the eyebrow embroidery, I had to dedicate a whopping 10 minutes to fill in my brows. With my brows already looking full and natural, I can now move on to focus on the other aspects of my day-to-day makeup, such as my eyeshadow look (you guys know how much I love colours on my eyelids)!
About a month after my first eyebrow embroidery with LA VIDA, I had to head back to LA VIDA again for the touch-up service. A touch-up service is important because it will help reinforce the brow colour and shape so that your brows will last for a longer time.
As a teenager, I never liked attending family gatherings. In fact, I DREADED my time there, especially during the Chinese New Year gatherings. Having suffered from acne since I was 14, I was often the talk of the town whenever I was in the same space with my relatives. There’s just something about them that wouldn’t stop commenting on my pock-marked face.
Why I Needed AGNES
Being a sensitive girl, every single comment I received about my acne-piqued skin would kill me inside and bruise my self-confidence. I became apprehensive about leaving the house and indulged in lots of thick foundation to try to cover all my blemishes, but to my horror, made them worse. The makeup on my skin then became another talking point for my relatives because I was then chided for wearing makeup and making my acne worse. Truth be told, those days were like living hell and I desperately needed a cure.
Trust me, I’ve tried many “solutions” in the market, including topical acne treatments, laying off heaty food like chocolate, chips and fried food, Oratane (a.k.a. Isotretinoin, a medication primarily used to treat severe acne), medi-facials (medical facials for acne) and more but none of them worked. Fast forward 10 years now, I’m still suffering from hormonal acne and ugly post-acne scars until I met Dr. Gerard Ee from The Clifford Clinic.
