Staying at home means more time to pamper my skin. I’m back with yet another review of a clean skincare brand, and this time it’s – SEPHORA Collection! I’ve previously talked about how my skin felt clear and healthy with Derma E’s clean skincare range, you can check that out too.

Anyway, SEPHORA launched its Good Skincare line under their home brand SEPHORA Collection late last year. We’re all about clean formula nowadays and this range comes in timely to match our needs.

About SEPHORA Collection Good Skincare

The Good Skincare range focuses on the best possible balance between product quality, effectiveness, and sensory appeal:

• Natural Ingredients – uses a maximum number of natural and plant-based ingredients with at least 90% natural ingredients. Does not contain ingredients or raw materials of animal origin, including those frequently used in cosmetics.
• Efficacious Formulas – all ingredients used are studied, tested, and evaluated by a team of scientific experts including toxicologists, dermatologists, chemists, and biologists, as well as regulatory specialists.
• Eco-Friendly Packaging – packaging developed with eco-design options to minimise environmental impact. >60% of traditional plastic replaced with plant-based materials made from sugarcane waste. Cardboard boxes come from sustainably managed forests and is printed with vegetable ink.
• Made in France – products are manufactured in France.

From cleanser to scrub, face gel to masks, I’ve tried a total of 5 products and here are my thoughts…

Purifying Mud Mask, SGD24

What is it: A mud mask with zinc and white clay to purify and mattify skin. The texture is creamy, which doesn’t dry out skin. 96% of the ingredients are from natural origin.

What it does: Cleanses the skin and absorbs excess sebum. Contains Zinc of natural mineral origin to purify and reduce appearance of imperfections, while White clay of natural mineral origin derived from rocks to mattify skin.

What I like about it: It effectively controls oil production and unclogs pores to reveal a healthy and smooth skin texture.

Overnight Glow Mask, SGD24

What is it: Enriched with glycolic acid and hyaluronic acid, this overnight mask gives you radiant and well-hydrated skin. The texture is a super lightweight water-gel which soothes the skin upon application. 93% of ingredients are of natural origin.

What it does: Provides radiance and hydration to dull complexion. Contains natural origin glycolic acid, extracted from sugar cane to exfoliate skin, and natural origin hyaluronic acid, extracted from wheat, to hydrate skin.

What I like about it: Lightweight texture soothes and calms skin and the formula helps skin appear plump and brighter.

Next, we move on to some cleansers…

Clean Skin Gel, SGD18

What is it: A cleansing gel that removes makeup and cleanses the face, eyes and neck. 99% of ingredients are of natural origin.

What it does: Formulated with an amino acid derivative and Aloe Vera extract, the gel cleanses gently whilst removing make up. It soothes the skin and maintains hydration at the same time. The natural amino acid derivative is from beetroot syrup and it maintains hydration and prevents skin dryness.

What I like about it: The light texture does not dry out skin.

My only gripe: Only able to remove residual non-waterproof makeup, so please use a makeup remover before this!

Mattifying Cleanser, SGD24

 What is it: Cleanses and mattifies skin for a soft, soothed complexion. 96% of the ingredients are of natural origin.

What it does: It eliminates impurities and excess sebum with White Clay of natural origin. It contains natural Aloe Vera to soothe skin as well for fresher and brighter skin.

What I like about it: My skin does not feel oily nor does it feel dry after cleansing.

Bright Skin Exfoliating Scrub, SGD18

What is it: An exfoliating scrub that gently clears impurities and dead skin cells for a more refined skin texture. 97% of the ingredients are of natural origin.

What it does: Volcanic sand from natural origin exfoliates and refines skin texture while Marula Oil from natural origin smooths skin.

What I like about it: It effectively removes the dead skin cells to reveal a brighter complexion.

Glow Body Cream, SGD24

What is it: A body cream that moisturises and smoothens skin, making it feel softer and appear brighter. 98% of the ingredients are of natural origin.

What it does: Contains natural Moringa Oil to hydrate and illuminate skin. Natural rose floral water is present to soothe and hydrate skin.

What I like about it: It leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised with a beautiful sheen.

Overall, I enjoyed using this range and I feel that these are great additions to anyone’s skincare routine. With the low price point, you don’t have to worry about blowing a hole in your pockets! Even better if you snag them during the SEPHORA 20% Sale!
