Irresistible. Intoxicating. Addictive. These are the three best words to describe a scent so captivating. What does fragrance do for you? For me, it helps to compliment my character and the scent I choose usually reflects my personality, or if not, complements it.
I’m typically drawn to light rose, floral scents but my heart skipped a beat with the sweet honey notes of DKNY Nectar Love.
Like a bee captivated by the irresistible draw to a lush blooming flower, Nectar Love captures nature’s pull of undeniable attraction. This fragrance is a medley of floral fruity notes with extracts of honeycomb and neroli that delivers an addictive dose of delicious attraction – the perfect summer fragrance for her.
The Packaging
Housed in a beautiful golden apple-shaped bottle adorned with little bees on the metal cap as well as on the glass body of the flacon, Nectar Love has its flacon reflecting the essence of the scent. At first whiff, be enthralled by the warm seduction of citrus (Grapefruit and Mandarin) and Solar notes.
The Notes
The bright opening notes deliver a burst of crispness while settling into a bouquet. At the heart when the fruity notes settle, you’ll gradually pick up notes of Lily of the Valley, Mirabelle and Jasmine. It’s subtle, noticeable but definitely not too intense. If you’re a lover of honey, nectarine scents, Nectar Love’s base notes of Beeswax will enchant you and bring you on a summer adventure. With Vanilla, Cedar, Neroli and Musk, you’ll be expecting a creamy lush base when it dries down.
My Thoughts
I’m never into scents with Jasmine, but Nectar Love’s blend despite having Jasmine, was very much enjoyable for me. I know it dries down for many but for me, I could smell it for the entire day. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wear this scent for the whole day because 3-4 hours through, it gave me a headache. I believe the jasmine scent wasn’t well-received by my body even though it was pleasing to my nose.
Well, I wouldn’t say that I would never pick this up again because the scent really does transport me to a field full of cheery flowers with little busy bees working on their honey. Like the texture of honey, this is one scent that sticks to me and one that I can recall vividly.
