Before I go into the full review of the two eyeshadow palettes from the Chanel Les Automnales 2015 Collection, I must say that this is by far one of the Fall/Holiday Collections that I am deeply in love with. With warm, neutral hues, this is love at first sight for me! The palettes are rooted in multi-faceted, androgynous colours that can be worn at any point in time to portray effortless sophistication. You can never go wrong with any of these.
Chanel’s makeup has always been dressed in its classic black packaging that portrays nothing short of chic and elegant.
This Fall, be amazed at the intricacy of the embossed design on the Les 5 Ombres de Chanel Entrelacs Eyeshadow Palette that reflects the stained-glass windows of Aubazine in central France, where Gabrielle Chanel spent part of her youth, and the pigment-rich textures of the Les 4 Ombres Tissé d’Automne Eyeshadow Palette inspired by the threads of the Chanel tweed.
Chanel Entrelacs features five eyeshadows with fairly nude hues from light to deep, satiny to matte. I snagged this palette with the idea that every girl needs a neutral luxury palette to complement her wardrobe and to feel sexy, don’t you think?
I must say that this is one of those (almost) impulse buys because who can leave the palette alone after seeing the beautiful embossed design on the eyeshadow pans? I can’t!
The palette consists of a:
Gold/pearly cream shade (satin)
Warm light brown shade (matte)
Rich bronze shade (satin)
Deep grey cocoa shade (matte)
Light peach shade (satin)
Even though the pigmentation of this isn’t impressive, I found that they are very complementary when applied on the lids and work really well together. I especially love the middle bronze shade for it brings out the depth for any makeup look you are going to have with this palette.
Here’s my stab at a soft, smokey look for everyday wear.
Pair the eye makeup with a rather plummy lipstick for a classy evening look!
On the other hand, the Chanel Tissé d’Automne did nothing but to awe me with its stellar pigmentation. It offers endless possibilities with two medium tones to colour and contour, a deep shade to intensify and a light shade to highlight.
I have no regrets for this palette because I have never owned one with such beautiful fall, rusty shades!
The palette consists of a:
Rich mellow olive shade (satin)
Sweet peachy beige shade (satin)
Rich warm bronze shade (satin)
Deep olive cocoa shade (almost matte)
I have all praises for this eyeshadow palette! Just look at the rich pigmentation of all the shades! These were taken with only one swipe off the arm. This is definietly THE palette for Fall because I love every shade in it!
You can create some really sophisticated and elegant looks using just any two shades or play with all four for a really deep smokey eye like I did. Because of the usage of the peachy shade in the middle of the lids, this look is pretty similar to the one I did for the Chanel Entrelacs and I thought I should have used the bronze and olive shade more.
My choice of lipstick is a pinky nude to emphasise the eyes while softening the overall look.
And that concludes my full review of these Chanel beauties! Have you got your eyes on any of the palettes? I am now starting to lust for the Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Alezane, in the collection! Should I be getting it? 😉
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
