So Too Faced has been having their Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks for quite some time now but I haven’t had the opportunity to try them. Thankfully, the team sent their latest launch of the Melted range – Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipsticks – for me to try out!
Melted Metal is a liquified metallic lipstick in a tube with a soft spongy tip for easy application. The brand has taken the 90’s foiled statement lip and reinvented it with the lustrous look of liquified metal; creating wearable multi-faceted colours.
With 8 delectable shades, Melted Metal is a formula that comfortably coats the lips in bursts of rich, glazed, metallic colour that is sure to complement any sort of look you are going for.
The 8 shades include:
Metallic Peony – a peachy nude
Metallic Debutante – an orange-peach
Metallic Tu-Tu – a coral nude
Metallic Macaron – a warm pink
Metallic Bunny – a powder pink
Metallic Dreamhouse – a blue-toned hot pink
Metallic Violet – a blue-toned bright purple
Metallic Jelly – a deep berry violet
One coat of this liquid lipstick gives you a nice pigmented colour on your lips while multiple coats of it will allow you to achieve a glossy look! Even though they are meant to be metallic, the sheen isn’t that visible for some shades like Macaron, Tu-Tu, Dreamhouse and Jelly.
However, the spongy applicator isn’t the best thing to have because you get the glossy substance coming out more than the pigment when you dispense it. You’ll sometimes get inconsistency in terms of pigment-gloss amount oozing out so be careful there!
Here are swatches!
In terms of longevity, the light shades tend to last for only a few hours, maximum 3 if you don’t consume anything, but the darker shades tend to leave a stain on the lips so either ways, you need to reapply after a couple of hours. Possibly because the formula leans more towards like a lip gloss, it isn’t drying on the lips.
Here’re some of the shades I love:
Which one is your favourite? 😉
