Before we move into the Autumn season, let’s take a while to enjoy the undeniable beauty and charm of summer’s florals despite the searing heat. Givenchy, the brand of elegance and timeless beauty, presents its Couture Edition 2015 – a collection of refreshing pinks and flowers to depict summer!

I’ve never exactly been a huge fan of Givenchy Beauty until I’ve tried their lipsticks. Oh what can I say? They are so pigmented, non-drying and the classic Le Rouge range consists of shades enough to fill your vanity table! Hence, when Givenchy released its Le Rouge Couture Edition 2015 with the limited edition floral print leather lipstick case, my heart literally melted!

I believe the Asian shade for this limited edition beauty is 202 Rose Dressing, a sweet rosy pink-coral. Tucked in a customised leather case with a floral pattern that’s straight from the Givenchy runway couture collection, this lipstick comes with its original black leather casing as well, making  it the ultimate chic makeup accessory you can have in your purse!

The bullet is shaped typically like the usual lipsticks and comes with the signature Givenchy logo – a logo that represents stabilisation in perfection and symbolises all creative activity in the realm of time and space. Isn’t it gorgeous?!

Surprisingly, its semi-matte formula isn’t drying on the lips and is quite flattering on most skin tones, light to medium-dark. The lasting formula provides a delicate wash of colour that is just in time for summer! I believe this shade is also part of their permanent line. Also, in actual fact, the floral print leather case can accommodate any Le Rouge lipstick so you can always switch up the casing of your other shades just to flaunt this beautiful print!

Also in the Couture Edition 2015 is the Very Irrésistible Givenchy fragrance, an homage to Givenchy’s early days when fashion and cinema were intertwined. It unites the elegant tradition of French style with the energy and pop-culture pizzazz of American film. Profusing with roses and infused with star anise, and verbena leaf, the scent is a fresh departure from the traditional floral ones. The muse for Very Irrésistible Givenchy since 2013, is Amanda Seyfried, the beautiful American actress and singer.

Capturing the essence of bright, vibrant summer, the fragrance is packed in gradient pink with the couture floral-printed bow, adding a luscious touch to the sexy sleek bottle. The main notes of this scent are rose notes which include Centifolia Rose, Peony Rose, Fantasia Rose, Passion Rose and Emotion Rose; Star Anise and Verbena Leaf notes.

Even though this is an Eau de Toilette (EDT), I like how the captivating floral scent subtly fades into a lighter fragrance, befitting the summer season! With the dazzling packaging and the alluring scent, this makes a lovely gift for your girlfriend, sister or even your beloved mummy!
