I’m about to embark on a new journey in my first job after I graduated back in December and I’m so excited!

Before I start work, I just wanted to fix myself, inside and out – rejuvenate the mind and get a fresher look! I was so looking forward to this Goldwell Kerasilk Keratin Hair Treatment at Fluff Hair Room, because I wanted to change my hair style to look more polished! Annelise (GetKlarity’s Digital Marketing Manager) and I booked an appointment via GetKlarity and we are all set to have our hair treatments done! Located in the heart of Orchard Road, Fluff Hair Room is a very convenient location to have your hair quick-fix after hours of shopping, or even after working hours for those in the CBD area!

Because Annelise and I have really dry and damaged hair, the professional and amiable hair stylists at Fluff Hair Room recommended the Goldwell Kerasilk Keratin Hair Treatment to target unmanageable and frizzy hair. There are a lot of Keratin treatments out there in the market but particularly for the brand Goldwell, it created the first customisable treatment called Kerasilk, which is non-toxic (free from chemicals like formaldehyde etc.)!

We were first being treated to a relaxing hair wash as our hair stylists did a brief head massage to make us feel more at ease.

The next step was to completely dry the hair and apply the Keratin formula, bit by bit. According to my hair stylist, the formula has to be applied to the hair, layer by layer, such that every strand of hair gets coated with the customised solution. To my surprise, there wasn’t any foul smell, no burning sensation (as with hair dyes) nor discomfort of any sort!

As you can see from my fringe, my hair was totally in a devastating state as the frizz was getting out of control. The treatment came timely indeed!

Once our hair was saturated with the formula, we were given a blow-dry before our tresses were straightened with heat. Basically, the keratin applied will meld with the keratin already produced by our hair and this causes each strand to be strengthened, giving that overall shiny and super-soft feeling.

After another round of shampoo, conditioning and blow-dry, we were done!

These curls are definitely not the result from perming. They were done just by blow-drying after the treatment! Look at those healthy curls! I never knew I could have such healthy and shiny hair until today. Can I just say that the treatment is a saviour to my crazy mane?

Here’s a before-and-after photo of my hair. From having unruly fly-aways and very damaged split-ends to now a head of healthy, super-soft and manageable hair, I was truly impressed!

These are the “magic” products from Goldwell’s Kerasilk range used on my hair. Even though the treatment is able to give you silky smooth hair for up to 5 months, my hair stylist emphasized the importance of hair care at home, which is essentially choosing the right products to maintain the results. His tip? Opt for hair products which has Keratin infused and wash your hair with cold water instead.

I love how knowledgeable the hair stylists at Fluff Hair Room are as they were able to explain the science behind each step of the treatment. Also, being located right in the central just makes it more convenient for everyone!

If you are looking to eradicate that frustration of yours with your unruly and frizzy hair, the Goldwell Kerasilk Keratin Hair Treatment is just what you need! It comes with a hefty price tag but it’s no doubt the best treatment I’ve ever done so far that REALLY works.
