Call me typical, but I have always been a lover of flowers, especially roses in all sorts of colours. Roses in their various colours, have different meanings. I love red and pink roses for they symbolise love and romance, grace and elegance respectively. When I first met the Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus range, I was captivated because I can have roses in my skincare products too!
If you didn’t know, Jurlique is an Australian skincare brand that is all natural – the plant extracts are biodynamically grown, harvested and crafted for its natural potency, so that the skincare products made are as pure as they can be.
I visited the local Jurlique store at Takashimaya and got to know a lot more about the brand with the friendly staff and was convinced to overhaul my entire skincare regime for the Rose Moisture Plus range! I love how each product is so lightweight and fast absorbing that you don’t need to pile up thick layers of product to ensure that your skin absorbs them.
The first I tried was the Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser (S$50), a very light and hydrating cleanser that also contains skin-conditioning ingredients for the removal of impurities on the skin.
Even though it’s a foaming cleanser, it does not dry out the skin at all and you won’t feel the taut sensation after cleansing. I like that it leaves you feeling clean and refreshed with a gentle rose scent.
My favourite is the Rosewater Balancing Mist (S$45). It is essentially a toner but in a mist form. With precious rose essential oils, the mist helps to restore and hydrate the skin. It has also been awarded the Best Mist in ELLE Essential Beauty Products!
The light texture coupled with the spray dispenser makes it very refreshing to apply this product. It has a clean and calming rose aroma which soothes your senses as well. In my opinion, this is a great product to carry around because a spritz is all you need to freshen up your day!
When it comes to serums, how often do you find one that gets absorbed into your skin almost instantaneously? Well, the Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum (S$83) is an antioxidant-rich and replenishing serum designed to absorb easily and to provide the skin with essential fatty acids to help moisturise and protect the skin.
Featuring the Zi Cao Root Extract, the serum has very potent moisture balancing benefits as the precious Chinese herb helps protect, preserve and boost moisture content of the skin. has soothing and cooling properties to help rebalance sensitivity in skin too!
The texture of it is also light as expected and it makes your skin well-hydrated just right after application. It’s a pity it only comes in a tiny bottle like this because you’ve got to stock up pretty frequently if you are a regular user of it. I personally love the texture, the scent and really, everything about it. What else can you not love about such a serum?
With any skincare regime, you have to complete it with a moisturiser. The Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Lotion (S$84) is a very lightweight moisturising lotion dedicated to provide the dual benefits of hydration and protection. If you are one with dry/dehydrated skin, this is the one for you, to soothe and rebalance your skin dryness.
It presents itself in a creamy lotion form but like all the other products in the range, it absorbs very quickly too. The lotion also helps protect against environmental damage and keeps the skin hydrated and healthy-looking all day long. It has that signature rose scent too which makes it extra calming going through the skincare regime.
What I love about this skincare range is that, at the heart of each product formulation is Jurlique’s unique Rose Complex made of Biodynamic+ Rose Extract, Rose Hip Oil and their Signature Rose Aroma to enrich the skin as well as balance and calm the senses. All of the products I’ve tried leave the skin visibly hydrated, supple and smooth. It also gives you that rejuvenating, clean and fresh feel which makes you feel confident of your skin!
