January 2015 Beauty Empties: Review

January 2015 Beauty Empties
Half of February has gone by now and this is a little late but I still wanted to share the products I have used up for January! It includes a makeup item (finally) because I have been using it to death! It’s seriously amazing on my skin (and doesn’t break me out). This month, I haven’t quite been able to finish up more products because I am seriously on rotation of my makeup and now, even my skincare products!
Well, let’s get started!
Alright, I think this product is of no surprise to you by now. I have been using the Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser since last April and this blue stuff is actually pretty good! I love how it gives your skin a cooling, minty feeling when you (try to) lather on your face. As far as I think, it does cleanse your skin without making it feel tight and ripped of all moisture, which is great for acne-prone skin. Also, this does help to soothe my irritated skin. I highly recommend this even though I haven’t quite repurchased this yet (because my sister and I are trying new cleansers).
This is probably also another one that will be familiar to you because it’s probably the 3rd of 4th bottle I am throwing away. The La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is seriously the best mist spray I have ever used. It helps soothes the skin, especially when it’s irritated. I use this all over my skin after makeup to kind of “set” the makeup and also to calm my skin when I have allergy outbreaks from using products. It does a good job in terms of calming effects and I highly recommend this as well.
Using my Clarisonic regularly, it’s not a surprise that I need to change my brush head! I have mentioned this before, the Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head (review here) is probably one of the softest brush head for my skin when it comes to cleansing brushes. I find that this does a good job in cleansing while not over exfoliating my surface skin. This brush head you see here is actually a new replacement because I threw the old one away (it was turning yellow because of all the gunk in my skin) before I took any photos of it. If you have sensitive skin and/or prefer softer bristles, this is it for you.
The last product I am going to mention is my current holy grail makeup base, the Etude House Magic Any Cushion in Mint! I have talked about this umpteen times and you are probably bored of me talking about this makeup base/primer. To cut things short, this base gives abundance moisture to the skin and most importantly makes it more radiant, especially if your skin tends to be red. The mint colour is supposed to cancel out any redness, and with SPF 34 PA++, you can also wear this out alone if you want to just head out to run some errands and don’t want to have too much makeup. I have happily repurchased this already because I was so excited on using up on a makeup products! *beams in delight*
I would say these 4 products are highly recommended because I have repurchased most of them (if not have them in spares at home). None of them were sponsored items, so you can be assured that I am reviewing them because I really enjoy using them! Have a Happy Lunar New Year!
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
