K-Beauty Makeup Look with my Althea Beauty Haul: Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

Althea Beauty Haul
Korean makeup is still popular as ever and I believe that it’s here to stay till the next breakthrough in the beauty industry. Where do you usually haul Korean beauty products? For me, other than the mainstream brands such as Etude House, LANEIGE, Innisfree etc., I love shopping online at Althea. Althea is my one-stop shop for all-makeup-Korean, at super affordable prices! It’s a haven for any beauty junkie, trust me.

Courtesy of Althea during their 1st Birthday Bash, I managed to try out some new and innovative products on top of replenishing my favourites. Without further ado, let’s go into my K-Beauty makeup haul, and a makeup look awaits you at the end of this post.

Eyebrow tints have been around for quite some time now and we know that our brows frame our face. I was browsing through Althea’s site and stumbled upon the Blingsome Dual Eyebrow Tint, a unique and innovative solution for your brows! On one end, the brush allows you to draw your brows and leave them on while you sleep so that you don’t have to draw your brows for the next 3 – 7 days!

The brow tint works in a way that it pigments the skin surface with dual coating of ionic dye and high molecule volatile polymer, causing a rather lasting tanning effect. It’s like a temporary brow tattoo! While the eyebrow tint pen gives you natural-looking brows, refine your look with the eyebrowcara. Comb through the brows for a stronger and more defined look!

Eyeshadows are what I love most in the field of makeup, hence it’s no surprise that you’ll see at least some pigments for the eyes in any of my beauty haul. Played with the Witch’s Pouch Shadow for Eyes in SD-4 and I am quite liking it! The one I got was Spring Connection, a combination of light shades suitable for the spring time.

When swatched, the shades appear rather soft and velvety, and are easy to blend on the eyes. However, I find that they aren’t long-lasting enough even with an eye primer on my oily lids. When dipping your brush, do also be careful about the stir-up of powder too. Overall I enjoyed using this for days when I want a natural, soft look.

Also from Witch’s Pouch, I’ve gotten the Selfie Cushion Glow Tint Bar in 03 Pink Lady. Not shown here as I previously did not know that both sides have got product, but the tint bar is a combination of a lip cushion and a lip balm. Pull the balm lid and twist the cap for the cushion lid and you’ll get a 2-in-1.

And of course, one of my favourite eyeliners – Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Eyeliner. I’ve gotten Olive Jade and Light Amber Brown to add to my collection. They are creamy, and have got fine pearl that makes the eyes sparkling and shiny. If you’d like to double up and use it as eyeshadows, simply just use your fingers to blend within 10-15 seconds of applying. They’re pretty long-lasting on oily lids, especially over a good eye primer.
