Today I’m going to do a review on my current favourite eyeliner – the Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black. This was highly raved some time ago and I finally decided to get it about a few months ago. I have been using this almost everyday to tightline or to line my eyes and I must say this is really good stuff! So this little cute eyeliner comes in a kawaii packaging with a big black bow on top.
It says, “Get Tsubasa’s Dolly Eyes!” At the back of the packaging there are printed instructions on the product information and little tips from Tsubasa Masuwaka on how to line your eyes.
And this is the little cute baby pink eyeliner pen with purple polkadots and bow 😀 I must say this has got to be the cutest looking eyeliner pen around and I just love the lovely packaging! How often do you get a black eyeliner in a non-black packaging?
What I really like about this eyeliner is that it has a very fine brush tip and it applies very well, making your eyeliner application precise and hassle-free. I like to draw really thin lines for my winged liner look with this eyeliner.
This eyeliner is also pretty pigmented, a lot better than other brush tip eyeliners out there. The colour is a little lighter than Deep Black but it is buildable to a stark black colour which I really like. The swatch of the eyeliner is below. The line is drawn with just one stroke of the eyeliner and the colour is already pretty dark.
What I really like about this eyeliner:
Very precise brush tip for accurate application
Pigmented
Does not smudge easily
Dries fast
Lovely cute packaging
Pretty much waterproof if you don’t tuck and rub
What I don’t really like about this eyeliner:
Price is expensive, retails for S$24.90 at drugstores in Singapore, mainly Watsons
Flakes off sometimes towards the midday, needs touching up
Overall verdict: 7.5/10
I do like this eyeliner a lot and I guess I might repurchase if there are no replacements or eyeliners that are better than this one but I gotta say that this is on the pricey side for a drugstore brand. Ladies, if you are trying makeup for the first time, I would highly recommend this because it just makes your eyeliner application so easy and quick!
Tell me how you feel about this eyeliner and do recommend me any better eyeliners out there too! Until next time!
