Woohoo, it’s the second episode of LANEIGE Meets Fashion! This time, K-Beauty giant, LANEIGE, is collaborating with PLAYNOMORE, a brand designed by Chae-yeon Kim, whose signature SHYGIRL bags have garnered a lot of attention from K-pop celebrities and models!

I personally cannot comprehend the hype for the bags, because I’m not one who likes such adorably loud prints on my bags, but when you have such prints on makeup, it’s a whole new different story! Let’s explore the LANEIGE X PLAYNOMORE collection hitting our shores this September!~

 

The LANEIGE Meets Fashion project features “My Darling, SHYGIRL”, with her curious yet shy eyes that displays the cheerful sensibility of both brands. Ain’t the press kit cute? We even got to make our very own shrink plastic bag charm!

LANEIGE X PLAYNOMORE collection consists of four LANEIGE products: Intense Lip Gel, BB Cushions (Whitening & Pore Control) and Jet Curling Mascara.

Of course, LANEIGE is well-know for their BB Cushion so this is definitely a product that requires no introduction. The BB Cushion is a unique compact formulated with Melacrusher™ Technology to brighten and even up the skin tone and to protect from harmful UV rays with a high SPF of 50+ PA+++. There are two variants of their BB Cushion, one being the BB Cushion (S$59) and the other, the Pore Control BB Cushion (S$59).

I am personally allergic to the original one but am a huge fan of the Pore Control BB Cushion if you haven’t realised. I’ve gone through about three pans now and I loved everything about this! It’s said to control excessive sebum but what it really does to my skin is to smoothen it with a semi-matte finish which I love!

For the eyes, we have the Jet Curling Mascara (S$34), a high-performance mascara that is customised to lengthen and curl Asian women’s short, lumpy lashes. The packaging is so loveable with the eyes and lashes!

So anyway, the mascara has a water-zero (zero water sounds better), air-gel formula that delivers faster fitting power to the lashes for smoother application and more intense colour. It does give an intense black and retains my curl for the entire day but beware if you cry because it flakes off. Pretty sure it’s not waterproof. I do like the 3D Jelly Brush because you can use it horizontally for upper lashes or vertically for lower lashes!

For me, the main highlight for this collection is the Intense Lip Gel (S$36)!!! I absolutely adore the formula of this liquid lipstick! Can I say this is comparable or better to Dior Addict Fluid Stick?! The Intense Lip Gel combines the best qualities of your lip products – it’s a lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm all in one! It features a double-layer gel-forming technology called Oil Floating Tech to separate the colour from the gloss for super glossy and shiny lips with long-lasting colour pay-off!

With this product, you really don’t have to apply your lip balm. It feels like it melts into your lips for that seamless lip colour and you get instantly moisturised and coloured lips within 10 minutes of application.
