Party in style with Make Up Store’s Chrome Packaging Color Collection Limited Edition: Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

Colours excite me. They bring joy to my life, especially when it comes to makeup! A fan of the spectrum of the rainbow, the Make Up Store’s Chrome Packaging Color Collection Limited Edition literally sent my heart throbbing.

Forget about the classic holiday look (gold sparkly eyes with red lipstick). Go bold, be bold. Indulge in colour play. I had so much fun exploring this limited edition collection! I think the eyeshadows are super badass (sounds like me) and they provide an element of fun on the eyes. Oh, and talk about that packaging! The chrome packaging is to-die-for. Reflecting a playful and vibrant mix of colours, like the Aurora Borealis, the compact comes with a row of crystals embedded to inject a touch of fierceness.

Won’t you want to look your best this holiday? Perfect the look of your skin with the Glow Dual Foundation (Stockholm). The Dual Foundation glow is a powdered foundation with pretty high coverage and it gives the skin a luminous dewy glow with the subtle sheen.

With shea butter, ensure that your skin is kept moisturised throughout the day. I’m not a powder foundation kinda girl, hence I prefer dusting it all over my complexion as the last step of my makeup routine with a powder brush. It really gives a subtle sheen that brightens up the whole look.

On the eyes, I’ve basically played around with the Microshadow Deadly, which is a matte grey-brown and the Microshadow Trio Colors Palette containing 3 super bright shades:

L-R: matte deep blue-green, metallic hot pink, metallic sky blue

Other than the exquisite packaging, the “crocodile/skin cells” embossing on the pigments also makes it gift-worthy. For the friend/sister/mother who loves to play with eyeshadows, it’s going to be an awesome Christmas gift 😉 The microshadows are highly pigmented and silky smooth, with intense colour payoff. A little goes a long way, so, lightly peck the colours on to build intensity instead of applying too much at one go. Blending is the way to go.

Here’s my party look completed with a nice pink-toned matte mauve lipstick – Studded Kiss Lipstick in Mother from Kat Von D Beauty.

Would you be daring enough to sport this look this Christmas? 😉

The Make Up Store Chrome Packaging Color Collection Limited Edition is available at all Make Up Store counters and boutiques, while stocks last.

Create yourself and be gorgeous! XOXO, Roanna
