About Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum
Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum, the House’s new fragrance, is created as a tribute to today’s femininity – a strong, free and sensual femininity, as inspired by Hollywood star, Angelina Jolie. The emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity have all been captured in this bottle by Thierry Wasser, in-house perfumer of Guerlain.
The fresh oriental fragrance is put together by a medley of exceptional raw materials from all over the world, including Carla Lavender from Provence, Sambac Jasmine from India, Album Sandalwood from Australia and Vanilla Tahitensis from Papua New Guinea. It’s a pretty interesting blend of ingredients, I must say, made much for the everyday working women.

The Packaging
Mon Guerlain has a luxurious glass flacon with a quadrilobe cap. Created in 1908, the bottle established itself as one of Guerlain’s iconic bottles. Simple and graphic, while beautifully enhanced by a luxurious glass weight and a golden adornment, this bottle offers a contrast between strong taut lines and sensual curves, expressing contemporary femininity.
The Notes
Opening Notes
Mon Guerlain opens up to a harmony of lavender and vanilla, powdery and creamy, but not overwhelming. Carla Lavender, despite its classic masculine attribute in perfumery, joins the sensual and mysterious Vanilla Tahitensis (a.k.a. Tahitian Vanilla) for a soft but feminine touch.
Heart Notes
Connecting the delicious vanilla to lavender is the strong note of Sambac Jasmine, which was gathered at sunrise. Personally, I’m never a fan of jasmine notes as I prefer fruity scents as opposed to floral ones. Even though there’s jasmine in this, it didn’t feel like it overpowered any of the creamy blend, which makes it more acceptable for me to wear on various functions/occasions.
Base Notes
The base notes which are the ones to stay on you, consist of Album Sandalwood and technically, vanilla. A warming, sensual blend that is uniquely Guerlain. The sandalwood expresses the inner riches and resources possessed by all women and it signifies the strength and mystery of femininity as well.
Overall, the fragrance lasts about 6-8 hours on me and is perfect for nights when you are attending dinner functions and want to exude a sense of sophisticated femininity.
Mon Guerlain EDP retails at SGD98 for 30ml, SGD138 for 50ml and SGD208 for 100ml at all leading departmental stores and Sephora stores/online.
