Outshine the sun with THEFACESHOP’S Natural Sun Eco Sunscreens: Review & Swatches

THEFACESHOP'S Natural Sun Eco Sunscreens
With the blazing sun shining relentlessly recently, have you been piling up on your sun care? I believe we all know the harmful effects of UV rays and daily excessive exposure without protection can lead to a plethora of skin ailments such as freckles and wrinkles etc. The onus is on you to step up your skincare routine with quality sunscreen if you want to protect your skin!
To help you with that, THEFACESHOP has got their best selling sun care range – Natural Sun Eco – containing eco-certified organic Sunflower sprout extracts to provide you powerful anti-oxidative properties and strengthening of the skin’s immunity.
The kind team from THEFACESHOP has sent over this adorable kit with the sunscreens standing on a mini beach! Not to forget, a small portrait of our lovely Manager Do (a.k.a. Kim Soo-hyun), the current face of the brand!
The Natural Sun Eco Suncare range is sweat and water-resistant, coupled with Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) ingredients to prevent skin dryness and dehydration for healthy, supple skin all day.
In this range, there are 2 types of sunscreens catering to your different needs. The star product – Natural Sun Eco Power Long-Lasting Sun Cream SPF45 PA+++ (S$28.90) doubles up as a light makeup base with its blemish-covering and skin tone-correcting properties. I find that this is effective for those who want to leave the house without putting much makeup because it helps to smoothen out the skin tone a little. It doesn’t control oil production that much though.
My favourite of the two is the Natural Sun Eco Sebum Control Moisture Sun SPF40 PA+++ (S$23.90). Textured more lightweight than the other, this sunscreen is perfect for those with combination/oily skin! The texture itself is sort of velvety, unlike those thick, creamy ones in the market. It does help in making your pores appear smaller, which is awesome for someone with large pores like me! I like that it doesn’t give you a white cast like most sun blocks do too!
I’m not too sure about the sebum control properties though because I do see my skin starting to oil up around the 3-hour mark.
Here’s a snapshot of the colour and textures of both sunscreens. Visibly, the Sebum Control one is lighter in texture as it spreads easier on the skin than the other, while the Power Long-Lasting one is beige-tinted to give you that slight coverage.
Depending on what you are looking for, you may like either of these two or even both for different occasions!
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
