I finally have got some time to pen down my review for this sleeping mask that’s been keeping my skin in check ever since the year started! I must say that my sister’s wedding and work have been occupying my time and energy so much that I haven’t found time to properly schedule my 2016 blog posts. Pardon my disappearance, I am back! 😀

I’m back to restart my skin stronger for the new year with Biotherm’s latest addition to the Life Plankton™ family – Life Plankton™ Mask.

If you haven’t got yourself introduced to the Life Plankton™ family yet, you’ve got to first try the Life Plankton™ Essence! I love the essence for its soothing and moisturising properties and now that they’ve got the sleeping mask, I’m beyond thrilled!

The ALL-NEW Life Plankton™ Mask is essentially a hydro-gel sleeping mask which provides extreme soothing and deep repair treatment, even for seemingly damaged-beyond-repair skin. It is a leave-on mask that you apply right after toner or treatment essence. What’s convenient is that you can simply slab on a thick layer and go to bed right after. It has a similar scent to the Life Plankton™ Essence, but smells lighter and milder which I prefer. The essence as I have mentioned before, seems to have a perfume-y scent which is a potential cause for skin sensitivity for some skin types.

The mask comes in a blue-tinted transparent glass jar with a silver cap in which the amount of the product shows through. It makes it easy for you to gauge how much product’s left on one glance before replenishing.

With a fuse-into-skin hydrogel texture, the mask defends against skin damage from daily aggressions like UV rays and pollution while giving you a spa-like sensation. It also soothes redness and repairs roughness and dryness in just one night. I felt my skin become intensely hydrated the next morning!

Well, the effectiveness of the mask depends on the 5% concentration of Biotherm’s miracle ingredient, the Life Plankton™, at its full regenerative power using an exclusive biotechnology fermentation process – Fermogenesis™.

As mentioned, the texture is light and gel-like, so chances of it clogging up the pores are pretty low in my opinion. It also feels very comfortable and cooling on the skin, especially great after a long tired day.

Overall, I find that it works in delivering a brighter and more dewy complexion that helps make makeup application even more flawless! Not blankly singing praises but I like how moisturised my skin looks just overnight. Even though the instructions are to use this only twice a week, I use this every night and my skin is visibly more radiant!
