Bonjour lovelies! How’s your weekend so far? Mine’s pretty awesome because I get to spend quality time with my loved ones after all those business trips. I’m finally back home and staying put for some time before I carry on thee jet-setting life. Apologies for the lack of updates during this period of time.
On hindsight, travelling so often made me discover new products I can’t live without from my current beauty stash and I have the Lancôme Cushion Blush Subtil to recommend today even though it was launched way back in March.
Being one of the European brands to launch a cushion foundation (pictured above), Lancôme strikes back with a cushion blusher with 7 beautiful shades for almost all skin tones!
Housed in a classy black typical cushion case smaller than its sister (the cushion foundation), the Cushion Blush Subtil, like any other cushion products, comes with a plastic seal that can be reusable a couple of times before it’s time to throw it out.
In terms of the formula, it’s cooling and moistful, yet pigmented. Just one light tap of the sponge onto the cushion picks up sufficient product to be applied on both cheeks so try to be light-handed and build the colour up slowly. With the bouncy texture of the sponge, all you need is to gently pat the colour onto your cheeks for a natural sweet flush! Interestingly, the blush has got SPF 50/PA+++ too although I really think it isn’t necessary. More sun protection?
I have really been enjoying this blusher so much so that I brought it with me on both my Europe trips. It’s very moisturising so you don’t have to worry about getting your skin peeling in the dry weather. However, even though the blusher lasted the entire day on my oily skin back in Europe due to the cool and dry weather, I needed touch-ups when I used this back in hot and humid Singapore. I would recommend to lightly go over with a powder blush if you live in a tropical climate to keep your blush on for as long as possible.
There are in total 7 shades with 2 being limited edition ones. I think they would’ve sold out by now since this is posted soooooo super late. Apologies! Better late than never, right? 😉

- 22 Rose Giverée – dusty rose
- 23 Cerise Giverée – mauvy red
- 24 Sparkling Framboise – neutral rose pink
- 25 Sorbet Grenadine (Limited Edition) – bright coral
- 31 Splash Orange (Limited Edition) – vivid orange
- 32 Splash Corail – light powder coral
My overall verdict? GET IT if you are into cushion makeup! There’s no harm adding another blusher to your makeup collection, isn’t it? 😉 The pigment is easy to handle and if you’re looking for fuss-free makeup, this is the perfect pat-and-go blush.
