Sigma Paris Palette: Review & Swatches

Sigma Paris Palette: Review & Swatches
It’s been a while since I updated! Today, I am going to review the highly raved Sigma Paris Palette that was released earlier in May this year. I got this a couple of months ago from Smoochiezz which is now called Oouii (I don’t even know how to properly pronounce this). It is a pity that they discontinued Sigma sprees so if you’re interested, you’ll be able to purchase it from Sigma directly. It costs US$59.

The Sigma Paris Palette is a project that’s assigned to 7 amazing beauty gurus on Youtube (frmheadtotoe, xteeener, MakeupByTiffanyD, macNC40, petrilude, xsparkage and DulceCandy87). They were each assigned to a monument in the City of Lights, Paris, to creatively develop their own shade of eyeshadow based on the location. The entire palette is painstakingly contributed by the 7 gurus to cater to a wide range of skintones, including the blushes and brushes!

Without further ado, let’s take a peek inside the palette!

The palette is made of sturdy cardboard and it is absolutely gorgeous! It comes with a booklet containing all the beauty gurus as well as a description of how they came up with their eyeshadow colours based on the monuments assigned.

When opened up, there is a medium-sized mirror for make-up application. Here you’ll see 8 full-sized eyeshadows, 2 blushes, a highlight colour and 2 travel-sized brushes.

Here’s a close up on the eyeshadow colours. First up, the cooler colours:
Eiffel – Matte black with rainbow glitters and sparkles. Developed by MakeupByTiffanyD.
Seine – A gorgeous satin-finish deep royal blue. Developed by all gurus.
Louvre – Matte turqoise-teal colour. Developed by petrilude.
Orsay – Matte turqoise-green with gold flecks and sparkles. Developed by macNC40.
Next up, the relatively warmer colours:
Elysées – Satin-finish brownish plum colour. Developed by DulceCandy87.
Notre Dame – A gorgeous metallic taupe colour. Developed by xteeener.
Triomphe – Reddish brown with greenish duo-chrome. Developed by my favourite guru, frmheadtotoe.
Versailles – (My favourite!) White with gold flecks and sparkles. Developed by xsparkage.
Then we have the blush colours and highlight:
Rouge – Rosy blush
Péche – Peachy pink blush
Lumiére – (My favourite!) Shimmery light pinkish highlighter

Usually, palettes come with applicators or brushes that are not of much use. Hence, because this is a palette by Sigma Beauty, you get 2 awesome brushes from Sigma: the E55, an eye shading brush and an angled blush brush, the F40!

Finally, here are the swatches of the eyeshadows and blushes!
My personal take on this palette is that this is a go-to everyday palette because you get 2 blush colours, a highlight shade, cool brownish taupe shades for your everyday makeup! If you want to play with colours, Eiffel, Seine and Louvre will allow you to do a smokey makeup look while Triomphe and Orsay will add a pop of colour to your lids!
Also, I mega love the white with gold flecks, Versailles because it is as gorgeous as the Christmas lights that you see on the streets now! There is however a little bit of an issue with Versailles as it will cause a bit of a fallout.
So, tell me what do you think of this palette and which are your favourite colours in the comments below! (: Have a great festive season!
Create yourself and be gorgeous, girls! ♡
XOXO
