If you are a first-timer for eyeshadows, a neutral palette with warm oranges and browns is hands-down a safe choice. I’m stoked by my recent purchase, the Pony X Memebox – Pony’s Favourite Set #03 Orange! It’s a beautiful palette with a good combination of shades for your everyday makeup look.
If you haven’t known, Pony is a Korean self-taught makeup artist who has won the “2011 Makeup Artist of the Year Award”. This gorgeous chick is one of the hottest beauty icons in the industry. Her passion for beauty is evident on her YouTube channel Pony’s Beauty Diary where she delivers the hottest K-Beauty trends. This time, she has teamed up with Memebox to design products that are beginner-friendly and can glam you up instantly.
With Pony, a floral-lover, it’s no surprise that her collaboration products are housed in packaging with a dainty floral design of sunflowers, gerberas and possibly daisies. Pony’s Favorite Set #03 Orange contains two products from her line:
- Pony Shine Easy Glam 3 Eyeshadow Quad #03 Orange Bloom
- Pony Blossom Lipstick #03 Orange Dahlia
Due to the stark lighting, the image didn’t turn out well but I literally had my eyes lit up when I saw how elegant the gold metal cover on the eyeshadow palette is! Pardon the stains, the reflective surface is definitely a magnet for fingerprints and scratches, easily.
On to the palette!~ The shades are truly gorgeous, every single one of them! It’s sweet to have a good mix of textures, satin to metallic to glitter, but I thought that there should be a matte shade for crease-blending. Nevertheless, I still feel that it’s a very safe palette for makeup starters. You won’t go wrong with these shades, really.
The palette contains four shades as mentioned:
- Glam Nude Orange – light beige-orange with silver microglitter
- Glam Fair Orange – glitter cream-orange
- Shine Orange Brown – metallic golden orange
- Shine Copper Brown – metallic warm chocolate brown
Never head out without a lipstick if you have eyeshadow on. Yes that’s right, that’s coming from me, a true blue beauty junkie. A makeup look is never completed if you leave your lips dry, chapped and pale!
To compliment the orange-neutral eye makeup, the set also contains a lipstick, #03 Orange Dahlia, a true coral shade. The lipstick, I must say, is rather hydrating and pigmented, a pleasant addition to the set.

And as usual, I did a quick fuss-free 5-minute makeup look using these two products from the set and here’s a simple step-by-step pictorial for you to follow. You may use similar shades from other palettes but if you own this palette, here’s how you can do it!
Easy peasy, right? Please finish off with eyeliner and mascara to fully complete the makeup look! Here’s one in which both the eyeshadow palette and the lipstick are used for my makeup look, versus Pony herself. Of course, I am far off as compared to Pony, but this is just how an average girl will look with her products 😉
