Are you mad about matte? Well, I am!
Matte lipsticks are sprouting everywhere from the beauty brands in the market. I say that it’s a lip trend that will stay for a while more before someone decides to bring back the gloss and shine. It’s easy to find a matte lipstick in the market but often challenging finding one that doesn’t dry out the lips.

A #ParadeofSwatches as usual to show you how the shades look like on actual skin. I’ve worn a couple of shades and for some reason, I gravitated towards the nudes. My picks from the collection are Flight Risk, Sex On The Peach and Undercover Lover. There are so many MLBB nudes in this range!
The Formula
In terms of the formula, it’s said to last 8 hours, which it kinda does if you didn’t eat or drink. I find that you need to reapply once you’ve had a meal as most of the colour will be transferred/eaten away. Also, it’s pretty hydrating for me, but can accentuate lines on the lips, especially for the lighter shades. Some of the lighter shades when worn, can look like there’s an obvious layer of product. I much prefer wearing it above a thin layer of lip balm so that the lines are not that obvious.
Overall Thoughts
All in all, I like the lipstick for everyday wear because of the wide colour range (i.e. I can always find a suitable colour for any occasion), and that the formula is paraben/sulfates/phthalates-free. With a product that you actually “eat”, it’s good to have a “cleaner” formula for everyday wear. The packaging is pretty sturdy too and it looks classy with the cream and gold casing. Oh, did I also mention that on the top of the lipstick cap, there’s a peach embossing with the colour of the bullet inside? It makes it easier to identify the shade you want to pick.
