The peach craze has taken over the world, literally, and now it’s going to invade Singapore in a few days’ time. Have you ever had any makeup item that smells like peach and contains the skin-loving essence of peach? Well, the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection is here to bring you a peach-tastic range of makeup that is going to stay in your vanity, I’m sure!
Still feeling thankful that Too Faced sent me to the States last month just to preview the entire collection and I’m happy to share with you my honest review of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette after playing with it for a couple of weeks now. Swatches and makeup look below to keep you excited on the launch next month in Sephora Singapore!
The Packaging
The Sweet Peach Palette is beautifully packaged in their usual metal tin, but this time, coloured in hues of peach and pink! See those embossed peaches on the cover? It’s obvious how much work and thought has been put in for such amazing details. Too Faced has always been one of my favourite makeup brands and they seriously never fail when it comes to packaging!
The Quality
The Sweet Peach Palette is definitely the palette you need to create timeless and modern looks. It houses 18 eyeshadows ranging from your everyday neutral bronzes, to wearable plums, violets and even greens. These eyeshadows are richly pigmented which offer true colour payoff. What I absolutely love about the eyeshadows and the entire Sweet Peach Collection is the peach scent. When you open up the palette, you’ll immediately be captivated by the fragrant and nectarine smell of honey peaches. However, if you’re not a fan of scents, you’ll probably not want to have this on your vanity.
Like their usual Chocolate Bar Palettes, the Sweet Peach Palette opens up to a medium-sized mirror with its name printed below. Look at that cute little peach at the corner? I love how they made emojis out of the peach icons they’ve created. They are seriously adorable.
The Shades & Swatches
Shall we move on to the swatches? I’ll be swatching in rows.
The first row contains quite a nice mix of colours and textures, from mattes to satins and metallics. My only problem was that “Charmed, I’m Sure” swatched rather powdery despite being very blendable on the lids.
- White Peach – matte pale cream
- Luscious – metallic copper bronze
- Just Peachy – rosy pink with gold sheen
- Bless Her Heart – frosted medium olive green with brown undertone
- Tempting – blackened brown with a pearly sheen
- Charmed, I’m Sure – matte chocolate brown
The shades in the second row, in my opinion, can be worn altogether for they complement each other.
- Nectar – frosted light golden yellow
- Cobbler – satin copper bronze
- Candied Peach – matte peachy orange with pink micro-glitter
- Bellini – peachy rose gold with light golden sheen
- Peach Pit – frosted reddish brown
- Delectable – satin violet burgundy
The most neutral shades can be found in the third row. I believe a smokey eye look can be easily created, especially with Talk Derby To Me.
- Peaches ‘N’ Cream – matte light peach
- Georgia – matte skin beige
- Caramelized – metallic deep copper
- Puree – matte caramel brown
- Summer Yum – matte warm brown
- Talk Derby To Me – blackened purple with fine micro-glitter
The Tutorial
Using Georgia, Luscious, Summer Yum, Peach Pit and Candied Peach, I’ve created a romantic eye makeup look suitable for every occasion. Out of all the shades, my favourite has got to be Luscious. I love the incredible pigmentation with this amazing sparkly sheen! 🙂
To complement the eye makeup look, I’ve also topped my lips with the Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss in a nice watermelon red shade, Tickle-Me-Peach. I really love how it melts into the lips to give you this naturally sweet yet classy look.
The peach panic may be over in the States, but they’re coming soon in February! Watch out for the launch of the entire Sweet Peach Collection in Sephora Singapore stores!
Create yourself and be gorgeous!
XOXO, Roanna.
