The first thing that struck my mind was the sleek packaging with a tiny window for easy and accurate colour identification. The slim tube makes carrying a few of these around convenient as you slide them into your purse/clutch. With the doe-foot applicator, the Ink Lipquid glides around easily, hugging the curvatures of my lips for precise application.
Furthermore, with a Moisture Holding System, the Ink Lipquid maintains the moisture in your lips by creating a moisture layer which traps evaporating moisture. The Ink Staying Polymer helps to keep your lips fully coloured, giving you a fresh and clean makeup look!
These colour ink bases are derived from flower ingredients such as:
- Pink/Purple – extracted from willow herb
- Beige/Coral/Orange – extracted from saffron (wow, expensive ingredient!)
- Red/Brown – extracted from apple blossoms
What captured my heart the most about these liquid lipsticks is that you can layer them on when they dry for a fuss-free ombre lip look! You do have to put on at least 2-3 coats for full coverage on your lips though.
Although it claims to last for 12 hours, they perform fairly well, probably about 6-8 hours without eating. I could get through sipping water but they fade almost entirely after breakfast and lunch. It does have the shine like a gloss, colour intensity like a lipstick and longevity of a tint which makes this product an absolute in any makeup routine!
Overall, I do love these because they are fairly long-wearing with great colour payoff. And at S$17.90 a pop, you won’t be feeling so guilty grabbing a few more from each colour family to throw into your bag!
