They say, “Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin”, but I say, flawless makeup starts with the perfect concealer! I’ve never understood the use of a concealer in the past because I thought that having a high coverage foundation to cover scars is sufficient. However, for deeply darkened spots, a foundation is never good enough to provide that desired coverage, and that’s when you need Mr. Concealer to step in and caress (or rather, conceal) those areas 😉 Well, it’s never too late to realise what wonders a concealer can do for your skin, right?
For about 2 years now, I’ve sworn by the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (I use the shade Custard) and the Urban Decay NAKED Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (I use the shade Medium). Those 2 are my all-time holy grail that I cannot live without – for the former, spot concealing and for the latter, to conceal dark under-eye circles. Can I now proudly add the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer into my holy grail too?! It’s divine.
As the name suggests, the concealer seeks to let you achieve a flawless skin-like finish, as if you’ve had such good skin since birth! To value-add, Too Faced has the benefits and goodness of skincare infused into the hydrating and creamy formula:

It blends so well while concealing dark spots that you don’t even realise you’re wearing anything (on the skin) at all!

There are altogether 10 shades to suit every skin tone, from the very fair to the really dark-skinned girls. However, bear in mind that back in our tiny sunny island, Singapore, only 6 shades are available. For full reference, the 10 shades are:
- Very Fair – pale with pink undertone
- Fair – light with pink undertone
- Light – with golden undertone
- Light Medium – medium with peach undertone
- Medium – tan with golden undertone (my shade)
- Medium Tan – with pink undertone
- Tan – with golden undertone
- Deep Tan – with golden undertone
- Dark – with golden undertone
- Deep – with pink undertone
When swatched with just one swipe, you can actually see the creaminess of the formula. It really helps to hide imperfections, banish the appearance of dark circles, and blur the look of lines and wrinkles! I can’t express how much I love this concealer! It doesn’t crease under the eyes as with thick creamy concealers too so you don’t have to be afraid of your makeup going all cakey during midday.
And, you can pretty much have flawless makeup the whole day if you combine this with the Born This Way Foundation. The kind of complete coverage you get is so undetectable that they’ll think you were #bornthisway. 😉
