September 2015 Beauty Favourites: Review

September 2015 Beauty Favourites
As Fall steps into season, my mind starts to wander off to the various Christmas collections that are launching/have launched online and in stores… Before that, there are a couple of lovely beauty products that made it into my September 2015 Beauty Favourites! I’ve sneaked in a fashion item as well because it has been keeping me company pretty much every other day.
No surprises, I’ve been enjoying the Biotherm Blue Therapy Accelerated loads! It has a pretty nutritious consistency which smoothens the skin complexion when applied. I like that it gives you the baby skin-like plumpness and how it remotely reduces the pore size. I’ve incorporated it into my daily skincare regime and I love how velvety smooth my skin feels everytime! You should grab a sample over at the counters and give this a try to understand what I really mean.
Another skincare product I have in my skincare routine is the Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream. My initial thoughts of this moisturiser were that it was heavy and sticky, which made me doubt its efficacy on my oily skin. However, much to my delight, it worked well on me, especially when I apply before I head to bed. Its consistency isn’t that of a gel cream but fortunately, absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving any tacky feeling. I can’t exactly pin point how does it help the skin, but the very next morning I can actually see that my skin appears much clearer with less bumps.
On days I like to have a more natural-looking skin, I go for the Givenchy Teint Couture Balm. I am in the shade 04 Nude Beige with my medium skin tone. The foundation has a BB cream-like texture but is non-greasy, which makes it simple and fuss-free to apply on busy mornings. Even though it doesn’t have fantastic coverage, it blurs out imperfections and colour corrects the skin to reveal a more even out natural look which I like! It is a little on the pricey side because it’s luxury makeup but I adore the consistency of this foundation balm.
I’ve recently done a review for this eyelid primer and you’ve probably heard how it conceals the uneven skin tone on the eyelids. The Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer is a newly launched eye primer and I must say this trumps my holy grail just because it colour corrects!! I love how it conceals the redness on my eyelids and keeps my eye makeup intact the entire day with my oily lids! The only thing I don’t like about the product is that it dries too fast on the lids so be sure to immediately blend it out when you dispense it.
Gong Hyo Jin is Clio’s new face have you heard? Since I’m in the midst of watching the Korean drama, The Producers, I’ve been obsessed with the lipsticks that Hyo Jin wears and they turned out to be the Clio Virgin Kiss Tension Lip! I’ve been religiously reaching for them because they are so super moisturising and pigmented that you really don’t need anything else! What’s more it’s affordable 😉
I think I’ve never talked about any other brushes except for 13rushes ones. Trust me, there’s a reason why! I’ve bought my first ever Sigma Mrs. Bunny Kit and it’s still surviving but when I first bought my 13rushes kit, I’ve only reached out to the 13rushes one! This 13rave Face Brush is pampering my skin so much I can’t let it go! Its bristles are so soft it feels comfy when I use it to apply my powder. Here’s showing you a close up of how dense and fine the bristles are.
If you are into rose scents like I do, then you are bound to be mesmerised by the Givenchy Eau Demoiselle de Givenchy Eau de Toilette! I know I have talked about this and featured it so many times in my Instagram handle but I just can’t get enough of how light, sweet and elegant this scent is. It may not be the most lasting fragrance, but it’s definitely going to make you feel all delicate and feminine! Definitely worth a whiff!~
Being a variety seeker, I’ve never been able to properly feature a particular accessory because I get bored of them easily. Somehow, this Lovisa 3-Layered Necklace that my sister got from Australia last year paired really well with most of my outfits this month. It’s simple, classy yet has a little playfulness in it with its middle layer of gold balls (sounds pretty weird but that’s what it is, right?). With its layers, it will be able to spice up any simple get-up you have!
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
