Hello lovelies! I wanted to kickstart this new year with a product review on theBalm Cosmetics. I personally was enthralled by the unique packaging that theBalm’s products has and it sort of reminds me of Benefit Cosmetics as well.
Here’s the Hot Mama Blush with literally, a hot sexy mama on the front cover! What I like about this packaging is that the cardboard is really lightweight and it’s easy for travelling. Just pop it into your pouch and you’re good to go! Hot Mama retails for S$29.90 at Sasa stores islandwide but I got it for only S$22 at the introductory discount!
When opened, there’s a little mirror followed by the blush! I think it’s more than a full-sized blush and it can probably last me for years or even my whole lifetime assuming it doesn’t go bad. Anyway, I like that this blush packaging is not like the others in which there is mini brush given because personally, I don’t use the brushes provided in any blushers.
The image simply does not do the colour justice at all! This blush is really pigmented and it can be used as an eyeshadow as well as a blush! It is in a shade of peachy pink with gold shimmers.
Next up, we have arrested Mary-Lou Manizer because she is suspected of the following offences: highlighter, shimmer, eyeshadow. That was literally written on the packaging itself! I really love this one because it is in a ‘criminal-style’ design, very different from the usual highlighters you see on the market. Mary-Lou Manizer retails for S$36.90 at Sasa stores islandwide, a bit pricey for a highlighter but given that it can be used as an eyeshadow as well, why not?
When opened, this highlighter also has a mirror and there’s a ton of product in there as well.
This highlighter is really gorgeous and it has a really pretty sheen to it! It is like a light honey champagne colour and the glow it gives is simply beautiful (: I personally use this as a highlight above my blush and I apply this to the inner corners of my eyes to complete my eye make-up so that my eyes will pop! (:
Here are the swatches! (Pardon for the semi-blur resolution)
So how do you like these products? Tell me in the comments below! (:
