Sustainable Beauty with CLEAN Reserve | Skin [Reserve Blend]: Review

Sustainable Beauty with CLEAN Reserve
Sustainability, how much do you know this term? Within your knowledge, how much of it do you know about sustainability in the beauty industry? We as consumers are exposed to more than hundreds and thousands of brands each day, so much so that what a brand does behind creating their products are no longer curious to the everyday minds. For me, I always enjoy learning about brands’ histories even though I’m not quite yet an advocate to sustainable living.
In the beauty realm recently, I was exposed to some fragrances that only use raw ingredients from environmentally sound cultivations and harvesting practices. Sounds intriguing, isn’t it? I particularly like their motto:
“To change the way you experience fragrance.
To create a collection that highlights your individuality.
To tap into our perfumers’ reserve of raw ingredients.
To actively engage in eco-conscious sustainability.
To remove the clutter, heaviness, and complexity –
so all you’re left with is CLEAN.”
Yeap, it’s CLEAN Reserve by CLEAN.
CLEAN Reserve has just launched a new collection of nine “niche, authentic, sustainable and personal” fragrances. There are six new fragrances (Amber Saffron, Blonde Rose, Smoked Vetiver, Sueded Oud, Terra Woods and Velvet Flora) together with new “Reserve Blend” editions of three older CLEAN fragrances (Rain, Skin and Warm Cotton).

A floral poppy invasion with FLOWERBYKENZO fragrances: Review

FLOWERBYKENZO fragrances
“The poppy blossoms and spreads everywhere across the city. With a single crackle, it pops out of the asphalt. Untameable, mischievous, it defies us and invades us. It creates an endless pattern, like a hymn to happiness”
– Kenzo
It’s a happy therapy, a happy poppy invasion with the new fragrances from Kenzo! Indeed, this is an invasion that puts you in a very good mood on first glace. Such a fun, cheerful and passionate floral explosion, isn’t it?
Kenzo is launching 2 new fragrances – FLOWERBYKENZO Eau Florale and Flower in the Air Eau Florale, some fresh and optimistic fragrances, just what I need to drive those blues away!

Go fresh and whimsical with Moschino’s Fresh Couture Fragrance: Review

Moschino's Fresh Couture Fragrance
What do you think smells like fresh, clean, Spring? A bottle of window cleaner maybe?
NO! It’s the Moschino Fresh Couture fragrance! I think the design of the flacon sparked lots of debate, with cnosumers thinking if it’s actually a real perfume or just an ordinary window cleaner!
Isn’t the concept just fun and different? The idea behind the fragrance was to juxtapose the most mundane and commonplace of all household products – the household cleaner, with something so luxe – the scent from a luxury brand.

A fragrance full of love and bubbliness – Versace Bright Crystal Absolu: Review

Versace Bright Crystal Absolu
I believe every girl has one of those days where she just feels like being all girly and sweet. Well, at least I do. On a normal day, I’ll be seen with a rocker chic look but when it comes to a romantic date or a girls day out, the femininity in me takes charge and what do you know? The pinks and florals come out to play. And when that happens, I’d take with me a fruity, sweet and refreshing scent, just like the Versace Bright Crystal Absolu.

Absolute sensuality. Absolute transparency. Absolute brightness. An absolute temptation.

Versace’s Bright Crystal Absolu presents itself as the intense version of one of the most beloved jewel-fragrances in the world, where the essence of bright crystal is enhanced to the extreme. If you’re a woman who entrust your femininity to the timeless seductive power of fragrances, then this is for you.
With enhanced olfactory concentrations and prolonged persistence, this fragrance is made to intoxicate and enchant. It opens up with an amazing vibrancy of crisp yuzu which immediately stands out between the sweet juicy pomegranate seeds, creating a fruity burst of freshness.
The heart of this gem is enriched with inviting and velvety accents of raspberry, my favourite fruit in the entire universe. Can you now imagine how nectarous this scent is with such saccharine fruits?
Just as when you’re engulfed by sweet, fruity blend, you’ll immediately be enthralled by the elegance of peony along with refined notes of magnolia and lotus flowers, giving the scent a sense of completeness. The harmony of floral and fruity evokes an intense and voluptuous sensuality accentuated with its strong base notes of precious vegetal amber, deep acajou wood, and bright vibrant musk.
Containing the intoxicating blend is the classic vibrant pink flacon, maintained in the same form in somewhat darker pink than the original creation. It’s shaped somewhat like a trapezium, with the brand’s classic lettering printed on it. The bottle captures the absolute luxury of Versace. Nothing fancy, just classy.
What I like about the packaging is the cap. The elegant jewel-inspired cap with its bright facets remains a distinctive element for the Versace crystal collection. It is an emblem of purity and the authentic bouquet of scents it encapsulates. Complete with a Versace medusa head logo on a silver coin, the pink plastic jewel cap makes for a lovely decoration to the perfume bottle.
Also in my Versace Bright Crystal Absolu set are these two deluxe sized body fragrance products – a perfumed shower gel and body lotion. Make the captivating scent last even longer on special occasions by bathing in the scent and making it linger with the body lotion. You’ll be sure to turn heads strutting down a busy street and dazzle your romantic date.
This is truly a scent that bewitches the nose. I’ve had the Versace Yellow Diamond, a more radiant and citrusy scent but nothing compares to the sweetness of the Bright Crystal Absolu. Even my mum loves it it’s now practically hers.
The Versace Bright Crystal Absolu retails at S$85 for 30ml, S$119 for 50ml and S$155 for 90ml at BHG, Metro, Robinsons, Takashimaya, Isetan and Sephora. Be sure to land your hands on the fragrance set in Sephora before they are wiped off the shelves!
Create yourself and be gorgeous! ♡
XOXO, Roanna.
