Fuss-free K-makeup shopping with Althea Korea: Review & Makeup Look

Althea Korea
For a while now, Korean makeup is in trend in all parts of the world, especially Southeast Asia. More and more people, including myself, are starting to explore the dynamic world of K-makeup brands! However, I believe not all Korean makeup brands are readily available in our countries which makes it hard to obtain the latest lipstick probably Han Ga-In or Park Shin Hye is wearing.
Not to worry, it’s good news for all you ladies residing in SEA! Althea Korea, founded since June 2015, brings you K-beauty all the way from Koreaaaa!~ Let’s dig into my Althea Beauty Haul, shall we?
I’ve managed to get a variety of products from brands I have never really tried before. I was so excited to test them all out!
So all you have to to is to login to http://sg.althea.kr and you’ll see a some featured products and promotions on their website banners.

Etude House Sweet Cherry Tint
Fancy some juicy lips with vibrant colours? You’ve got to try the Etude House Sweet Cherry Tint! These are lip tints that come in lipstick form. They are extra hydrating, definitely worth carrying around in your bag for that pop of colour.
The tints come in a solid lipstick form, unlike the usual liquid tints, which is very convenient in terms of application. One swipe is all you need! What’s more, the packaging is travel-friendly as well as it doesn’t take up too much space.

Curl it up with Etude House’s Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara: Review

Etude House's Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara
You know what’s the one thing I dislike about being an asian? It’s stick straight eye lashes that can never hold its curls! If you are a girl who loves to doll herself up like me, I’m pretty sure you’ll always complete your eye makeup look with a mascara, right? 😉 I’ve never tried Etude House’s mascaras before but this particular one, the Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara (S$24.90) wowed me with its formula!
My Lash Perm Curl Fix Mascara came in a box titled “Open Your Eyes”, with products dedicated to give you that wide-eyed doll-like look! I was honestly more interested to try out the mascara especially since it features the lauded ETUDE Curl 24HR Technology™, where the Perfect Lash Fixer puts in place curves that promise to last up to 24 hours!

Etude House X High Cheeks
Fall’s trend brings us to rather gold and bronzy eye makeup without being too over the top and Etude House is launching some liquid eyeshadows in those shades, in their latest collection! We see Etude House bringing in a brand new collection, Bling Me Prism, in collaboration with Korean accessories brand High Cheeks! Well it’s all about that bling, ’bout that bling, oh baby~
Bling Me Prism screams fun, sexy and cool, all at once because it’s about vibrant pop of colours on the lips and easy, day-to-day wearable for eyes! Oh and there are some hologram nail colours too (not shown here)! The collection also evokes a sense of playful, colourful fun with its pop-art graphics and unique packaging that’s made for keeps! Look at those sexy lips and eyes!~
Let’s get started with the eyes, shall we? Bling Me Prism Eyes (S$11.90) is a water-base eyeshadow colour that requires blending with the fingers to create an even eye colour on the lids. It’s said to provide a cooling and moisturising effect on the skin around your eyes but I don’t actually feel so..

May 2015 Beauty Favourites: Review

May 2015 Beauty Favourites
Another month has passed in a blink of an eye I must say. Integrating into work life and juggling between work, personal time, blogging and relationships with people is in fact, not as easy as I thought it would be. Pardon me for my lack of updates including makeup pictorials! I am really trying to schedule them, possibly 2-3 every month so stay with me alright? 😉
So May has been a month of crazy ups and downs. Dealing with people relations was draining me inside out so in terms of my makeup/skincare favourites this month, it was all about the right staples. Well, just to simplify a small aspect of my life, yes?
My skin’s breaking out recently perhaps due to the stresses in my life right now. The remedy for my dull, tired skin is nothing fanciful – The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser. I really LOVE the texture of this because it’s thick yet in a gel texture that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It has an invigorating citrus fragrance that makes me awake and happy in the mornings!
